Immortal / Immorality – Word Review

The other day we were watching a movie of a WWII battle and when one of the guys stood up and started spraying the field in front of him with bullets the guy next to him grabbed him and pulled him to the ground.  Then he said “What?  Do you think you are immortal?”  Well, there it was “immortal” and it got us thinking because we have seen that word before, but never though much about it until now.  The dictionary has im-mor-tal as “Living forever, never dying or decaying.”  We would hope decaying is not an option because we would not want the zombie look as we go though our many lives.

In past posts we have explained our belief on reincarnation and that is immortality for our souls on a spiritual level, but what about a physical level?

So now we wondered if we knew anyone that is immortal.  So we thought about it and we don’t ever remember anyone of our friends or acquaintances ever telling us they were immortal.  But just because they didn’t tell us doesn’t mean they aren’t, they might be hiding it.  So how can we tell if one of them is and they are nor saying?  So we decided to start dropping hints like when one of them was speeding down the freeway we would say “Do you think if one of the oncoming cars jumped the divider and hit us head-on would be killed instantly?” They always say “yes”.  So we decided to flat out ask “Would you want to live forever?”  Answer always “no”.  Now maybe they are immortal and they don’t know it?

How do you know if you’re immortal or not?  If you are do you get a certified letter from God?  You open the letter and it says “To Sam, this letter is to inform you that your prayers have been heard and we now declare you and immortal human.  Yes Sam, you will live forever the minute you look at the certificate included in this letter.”  “Sam we must warn you that if you are having second thoughts about being immortal it’s too late.  We saw you thinking be careful what you ask for the other day and we suggest you put those thoughts out of your mind because it might have negate the immortal effect.  WARNING:  If you knowingly decide to test if you’re immortal or not, this also might negate the immortality because it’s meant to take effect without you knowing.  If you knowingly decide to test it anyway and you step in front of a speeding bus and after the bus slams on the brakes and you don’t walk away, then you’re dead.  If this happens please call Customer Service at YOU-ARE-DEAD (968-273-3323) when you get to the Pearly Gates.  If you do walk away or crawl away, then even if you’re damaged and might be disabled, you proved your immortal, but we suggest you don’t try again.  We will know Sam, we will know.”

We have some other questions like do you get to choose the age in which you start being immortal?  We have to assume the minute it kicks in you will go though eternity the exact age you are at that moment.  We guess you will know when you are because you will cease aging and look the same day after day forever.  (We hope the letter comes).  We think our fiends would notice that you are not changing physically or that you are out living everyone, then again maybe not.

So let’s say you are immortal and a massive asteroid slams in to the Earth and completely obliterates the planet into a bazillion little pieces of dirt floating around in space.  There you are floating in space with all that dirt forever?   Come on folks, the Earth is eventually going to stop functioning but your not if you’re immortal.  So then what?  Does it mean that every atom down to your DNA heals and stay healed?  If you’re older you might be taking prescription drugs so will you continue taking them forever? We would assume the healing would take place.

We wonder how you would keep it a secret. For example if you are sky diving and when you jump out of the plane your main and safety parachutes fail and you hit the ground like a free falling safe and actually bury yourself a few inched in the sod.  Do you get injuries like everyone else?  If you get up and walk away would kind of give it away that you are “special” and your story would probably go viral and your would probably be on all the headlines of newspapers.  Then what do you say?  This would be a good time to follow the Trump mantra and “Deny everything always.”

We guess we will be pondering this for awhile, but right now we say “no” to immortality until we have way more answers to our questions.

Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade – The End of Tradition 2018

For many years the Macy’s Day Parade had been our family tradition, where we all gather to watch the parades and enjoy the experience.

The last few years though, we have seen a change.  Who was the genius who decided to start the TV coverage with song routines from Broadway Shows?   This might be of interest to New Yorkers, but to anyone else it total BS.  To the children it’s like going on long trip by car and one of them has to pee, they start asking “When are we going to stop?  I have to go to the bathroom” over and over until we stop. When the Broadway routines start the children start saying “When is this going to be over?  We want to tee the parade!”.  Several adults chimed in too this year.  We all agreed last year if this is part of the TV viewing then this will be the end of a family tradition and we can just as easy take a long car trip.

This year the TV presentation was one LONG commercial; from the second it started to the second it ended.  First we have the Broadway Play commercials for the various plays.  But this year was special.  Yes folks, this year to some we had a controversy.  At the end of the Prom Play two women kissed.  It was not a short kiss, like is passing, it was fairly long and a bit passionate.  We smiled and though great, finally they are bold enough to show what life is really about. But to the billions of conservative families all over the world we could feel the horror of the parents when the children all said “Mommy!  You told us that girls never kiss girls!  Mom!  You lied to us!”  Nothing the parents could say would wipe the image out of the children’s minds and later when guests arrive to enjoy dinner, the children would greet them with “Did you see the two girls kissing?” The parents knew that this would be an ongoing for a very long time.  Todays news has some people pissed off  and others happy that this was included.  (We are happy)

After the Broadway Play commercials and in watching the parade we noticed that every float had some obscure singer on the float promoting their latest song release and lip syncing badly as the song blasted out.  Some of our children even noticed that the words did not match the mouth and we all laughed.  True there were two notables singing. Early in the parade Kelly Clarkson was on a float and Diana Ross later on.  All these years we though Diana was six feet under.  So at least we were informed she was alive and “well”.   Diana at first did not have a microphone in her hand and wasn’t singing even though her song was blasting out.  Then she started lip syncing but her hair was being flipped over her face so we could only see her lips moving.

Of course not only did every singer get in a commercial, but the sponsor of every float got a full minute commercial about their product line.  Then of course the TV station (NBC) had to do their official commercials along with everything else.  We remembered a time when the parade was commercial free and the entire event was aimed at families, but that must have been in a place far, far, away and in s different dimension.  Moving on there were commercial free bands from all over the country.  These were the only participants that were commercial free.  We always look for the balloons of various characters that of course had promotions going on, but we mentally tuned them out and enjoyed seeing the traditional characters and which ones were new.  Finally we saw Santa off in the distance and we knew the torture would soon be over.  When the announcer, said “And here is Santa arriving”, click when the remote and we were done.  By the way, we noticed that the announcers these days we usually people from early morning TV shows.  There was a time when “real stars” from TV did the TV announcing but now, all they do is sit there and read commercial scripts.

We made a point of watching the “live” broadcast, and there was only one in our area on NBC. There were years when there were multiple, but not this year which might indicate that the popularity was waning.  We did notice that later in the day several channels were rerunning the parade and we wondered if the “Girl kiss” was edited out.”

So now our tradition has been whittled down to one parade.  That is the New Years Day Rose Parade that does not have Broadway Play promotions as of last year, and basically commercial free.  It’s okay with us that the float sponsors get talked about, because there is usually a story about each one.  The spectators are another story because the “true blue” ones usually camp overnight on the parade route or near as they can get and they usually get interviewed by roving reporters.  Everyone is welcome at the Rose Parade.

We wish all of our followers had a happy holiday and enjoyed Black Friday Shopping.  We will wait with excitement to see what you will be sending us later in the season (Joke).  We hope you make a point to donate some of that cash that you saved to various charity organizations.  Ours this year is to the forest fire victims that lost everything.

We have nothing else to report at this time except to thank everyone who voted in the USA mid-term election and to those outside of the USA thank you for taking the time to come to the USA and vote (Joke for Donnie).  Have a safe weekend and hope to see you soon.  By the way, we once attended the Pasadena Do Dah Parade and that at that time was held on Thanksgiving.  We rented a Winnebago and parked right on the parade route.  We had a blast.

 

 

California Fires – Camp (Northern) & Woosley Fires (Southern)

We are in the San Fransisco Bay area and the air has been wavering between good, moderate, and unhealthy for a week because of the smoke from the Camp Fire.  We can deal with this because folks, there are 200+ people still missing and 44 people dead.  There are people still being evacuated because high winds are pushing these fires all over the place.   Southern California down near San Diego has high winds and high fire warning and we pray no fires start down there.

The town of Paradise was basically wiped out by the Camp Fire.  Stories of people leaving Paradise and stories of heroes are on our local news hourly.  The Weather Channel is now carrying the story full time.  Personally when we see interviews of the people who lost everything its down right heartbreaking.  Yes they survived, but there are many still looking for loved ones and the horror of people leaving Paradise during the fire, driving down traffic clogged roads.  One lady said she was in her car and the taillights of the car in front of her were melting and she was starting to panic when her door opened and a firefighter picked he up and carried her to a firetruck, covered her with a blanket, and said “You are okay now.”.  Folks these guys are amazing and there are thousands from states as far a Georgia that have come to help with the fires.

When this first started and we heard about the town of Paradise we immediately though about our friends that live in Paradise.  I tried to call Marty, no answer.  I then tried to message, him, no answer so I emailed him and prayed that Marty and his family we safe.  About two hours later Marty responded to the email and he said they got out early and were now at his brothers house in Modesto.  (We closed our eyes and thanked God, in fact we gave God a high 5). Marty does not know the state of his house, so he is checking everything possible.  There were some houses that did survive the fire, but only 10%.

Then there is the Woosley Fire in and around Malibu that is still roaring though the hills and actually burned all the was to the ocean which is rare.  When the winds start blowing the flames move so fast that trees actually explode and the dry grass creates a path.

All across the state Californians are coming together and donating goods to help these people.  The Salvation Army is taking in donations.  Below is a link on the Kron4 Radio Station site listing where you can help the Camp Fire people:

Please join us in praying for all the people already involved and the people who are in the path of these fires.

It is being reported that both of these fires may have started by power companies that had equipment issues.  PG&E for the Camp Fire and they had a equipment failure 15 minutes before the Camp Fire started AND in the almost exact location as to where the fire started.  PG&E is investigating (Yeah sure).  The other company for the Woosley Fire is The Edison company, that had a equipment failure.

We thank all the people from near and far that are fighting these fires and we pray that they stay safe as possible.

Veterans Day 2018

Today specifically and everyday we honor the fine men and women who have served, and are serving this great country at home and abroad.  Our freedom comes from their commitment to keeping this country free and as you know, it is the home of the brave.

ANOTHER SAD Day in America – Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks CA

The sad thing about this post is it’s basically the same post we used for when the Parkland shooting and others happened.  We don’t want templates like this in our country and it will continue as long as assault rifles are in the hands of these killers.  Our hearts and prayers go out to the 12 victims and their families.

Expedition Unknown – Search for the Afterlife (Final); Crossing Over

We must say that Josh has some big Kaunas to drink that  Ayahuasca Drink thinking it will take him to the afterlife.  It did take him where his conscious mind wanted to take him, but afterlife?  We don’t think so.  He admitted that he felt terror and joy at the same time. The look on his face was terror and he sure looked shaken.   Its a drug, like a zillion other mind changing drugs.  The shaman had him participate starting with picking the contents of the drink.  All hype if you ask us.  So he drank the drink and his experience lasted 8 hours.  The shamans also drank it but they are probably used to it. Josh said he felt a tightness and upset stomach. After an hour he started seeing colors and felt like he was leaving his body.  Beautiful and horrible at the same time.  Sounds like a LSD trip, not that we would know, but have heard it described.  He said he felt like had been gone for years.  Intense?  Yes.  He said he would never do it again. He did look wasted when it was all over.

 

Then he went to the island of Java to investigate Buddhism at the largest Buddhist temple on earth.  He got there on Buddha’s Birthday.  In Buddhism birth and death are the same thing.  Buddhists can attain the trip to the afterlife through meditation.  The party was awesome.  There were thousands of followers. They let go lanterns that floated up into the sky.  Just let go, it’s so simple.

The Josh went to the Queen Mary docked in Long-beach, CA.  They went looking for ghosts and Josh is very good at doing this.  He has done many shows where they went looking for ghosts and this one was just as good.  we have been on the Queen Mary and it’s awesome place to visit, but we weren’t looking for ghosts.  His thought process was that ghosts are souls who did not or could not let go.  There are specific places on the ship that have reported sightings, so off they went.  They has some special equipment that could possible highlight a ghost. They talked to ghosts and had they turn on and off some flashlights.  They saw a stick figure that might have been a ghost that was turning on the flashlight.  These shows always amaze us and the Josh guys do a great job filing this stuff.

It’s our opinion that if the afterlife exists it all about what you believe.  You think you die and go to heaven, then when you die you go to heaven.  Since we experienced a Near Death Experience (NDE) like the other people that were interviewed we have been to the afterlife, that we call “The other side”.  And we believe that after some time we are reincarnated to another life.  We were once told by a physic that when we are on the “other side” we go visit our friends in heaven and tease them and compare stories.  So folks, Josh did a great job in showing various ways to get to the after life, but drugs would not be advised by us.  The Buddhist meditation way is how we how get there these days.  There are several meditations specifically designed to get there and if you can focus deeply, then you can get there also. It’s a really beautiful place and we get many answers over there.  (We do not believe in any other place like hell)

We have nothing else to report at this time except we highly recommend meditations that use sound “hz” along with music.  There is a number that proceeds the “Hz”, and each number has various healing qualities.  Like “432Hz” | Powerful Positive Energy.   We use the meditation videos on YouTube.  When we download one it automatically posts to Twitter, so if you follow us there then you will see the link.
