Meditation Notes and stuff

Hopefully we have helped several of you guys, gals, and others out there in cyber-land to start or get on with some deep meditations.  We thank all of you who have clicked on the “like” or become new email subscriber’s.

Starting by using meditation to relieve stress is what we consider the easiest way but then moving on to deeper issues is something that is so individual that we can only describe our path.  The one thing that is common to all of us is to stay within yourself.  The only truth you have is yours and if you stay withing that truth you will move right along.

When we meditate we start by getting relaxed with three deep breathes and then we think about why we are doing the meditation.  For example if we have an issue talking to someone at work, we ask for a way for us to approach that person and create a connection. Note, we ask for a solution for “us”, because we can only “change” us.  (The only way to change others is by your actions).  Once we decide we move on to the meditation and when we get “deep” with complete silence we listen for the answer or at least, get our mind clear so that when we are done and start our day, if the answer comes we will see it.  This is another reason why being in the moment is important.

Even though there are some great video meditations on You Tube, when we pick one for clearing negative energy we don’t depend on the video to clear the energy, we do our own visualization of the negative energy being removed from our body/soul and the angels that dispose of the negative energy coming to take the energy to the disposal plant. (We create our own way for the visualization).

We have read many self-help / spiritual books over the years and collected many meditation structures. Included in our reading are many books about various religions and just like everything we read, we take what feels good and throw away what doesn’t.  We have created our own belief system and it’s now our way of life, mainly based on Buddhism, but not completely.  Sometimes we meditate and use the Catholic Rosary as the focus and we send the energy out too the universe for all to access.  Praying is the same as meditation if you are focused.  For those who attend a church or place of your religion, that is what we call a group mediation and that is powerful.  Even though we  don’t believe in religions, we honor all that do believe.  We are all here to communicate and share our experiences so no matter what you believe we can still talk to each other face to face.

Sit in a circle with a group of friends and meditate on healing each other.  Take turns sitting in the middle of the circle and you will feel the energy.  We have done this many times and it’s an awesome experience.  There have been times when we were in the middle and had to move out because the energy was so strong.  Have fun with what you have learned and pass the experience along. This makes it all that much more fun and promotes our caring for others.

The Golf Channel or The Golf Gossip Channel – Karma

So folks all your hear these days is the name “Tiger Woods” and if you watch the Golf Channel they mention his name at least 500 times during a tournament.  Not only to they mention his name, they play older videos if his achievements on the links.  Even people in other sports are talking about the Tiger Woods comeback and yes folks, he is amazing and he is back to the golf world.  (The “G” is logo is for “gossip”)

We have been Tiger Woods fans since the first time he played on the professional tour and we knew then, this young man is going to be special.

He rose to number one in the world and stayed there for years.  Of course the Golf Channel promoted him to the maximum because he brought viewers to their channel.  Tiger was the greatest thing for golf like Michael Jordan was for basketball.  Then came a day when the new broke about Tiger being involved in some not so good personal problems that cost him his marriage and he quit playing golf.  We thought the Golf Channel would stay out of his personal problems and focus on the golf player, but no, The Golf Channel became the “The Golf Gossip Channel”.  They were on Tiger’s problems like flies on a fresh dog turd.  They had reporters outside his house and were repeating every bit of gossip that came to them, both true and not true.  It was a circus and The Golf Gossip Channel made it worse as the leaders.  We think they thought no way Tiger would return so they trashed him to the maximum.

Now comes the karma, what goes around comes around and now that Tiger is back and great the “The Golf Gossip Channel” at first was timid about his comeback and we even heard a few of the commentators saying no way he will make it and be any good.  These people must not be listening because Tiger said “This is a process and I need to learn all over again how to handle the actual playing in competition, so it might take a few weeks.”.  Then Tiger showed what he was talking about.  At first he missed some fairly easy shots, but and the weeks went on he got better and better and this last weekend he had a chance to win, but like he says, the process goes on.  The crowds this week were massive and last week at Valspar they had to expand the parking and all the other stuff that goes with crowd handling.  So now the “The Golf Gossip Channel” has eliminated the “Gossip” and is once again promoting Tiger in his comeback.  Since Tiger left nobody has filled the gap that Tiger left even though The Golf Channel promoted some really great young players, none matched Tiger and shown be the crowds now coming out to see Tiger.  We of course are dancing around our chair because he is back and we k new he would come back big time.

Now to the “The Golf Channel”, we are asking “When are you going to send a written apology to Tiger Woods?”  Remember when you were the main GOSSIP news channel focused on cheap shots at every chance.  This is Karma in action.  You did not think he would come back from losing his family, several back surgeries and losing his health.  But Tiger not only overcame terrible times and has “fixed” his family, his health, and is the favorite to win “The Masters”.   You came see on his face how happy he is and humble as one can be.  So Golf Channel, “When will you publicly apologize?”

Now if there is a cable channel like ESPN or some other sports network other than the low life Golf Channel you might want to consider making a contract with Tiger to telecast only Tiger woods playing a tournament.  Get some great commentators like the guys on CBS (Not Hicks) and have several cameras only following Tiger.  Maybe a reporter interviewing Tigers fans that are all around him as he plays or promoting “The Tiger Woods Foundation” where Tiger helps kids get a great education.  I know I would be tuned in and probably most of the Tiger woods fans in the world, yes the world knows who Tiger is.

So folks why not send a few million emails to The Golf Channel asking for an apology and a few billion emails to ESPN to telecast only Tiger Woods playing golf?  They could probably raise a few billion dollars for Tigers kids and communities that are in need of funds.

Quit Smoking the Easy Way Part 1

xsmokingI am happy to report that last January marks 5 years since I last smoked a cigarette. An accomplishment I am very proud of and I am going to share with others who are attempting to quit smoking but struggling with the task. So if you are a non-smoker you might move on to another site, but then again you might wish to share this site to someone you know that is attempting to quit smoking.
I found that when I decided to quit, created the intention to quit smoking, and focused on the task at hand the solutions came my way quickly.

I was smoking one pack a day at the time, and I was going though a severe chest cold which seemed to a fairly regular event at back then. I also had been smoking for over five decades, yes folks, more than fifty years without ever seriously attempting to quit. So here is my solution to quitting which turned out to be easier than expected.

First I met a doctor that had organized a group of folks that under her supervision had quit smoking using a medication named Wellbutrin. The instructions were one pill a day for three days and then start with two pills a day and continue to smoke. When the third day arrived I had already cut down from 20 to 15 cigarettes a day. I found that I had a reaction to taking the second pill and the doctor said to just stay with the one a day. Within 10 days I was at 3 cigarettes a day and seemed to get stuck at three.

Then one day I was on my Facebook page when I saw a symbol on the right side that was a cigarette with a red crossed “X” over it. I stared at the symbol because I never click on those “pages you need to visit” symbols, but I went with a gut feeling and clicked on it. I then went to a page about quitting smoking by Alan Carr and it led me to a PDF download of a book named “The Easy Way to Stop Smoking” written by Alan Carr in 1985. I downloaded the file and read the book in one sitting. I have not smoked a cigarette since completing the book. (Thank you Allen)

What this book did for me was to point out that all the thoughts about why I liked smoking or why that cigarette with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning tasted so good, or yeah there is a chance of getting cancer, but not me, etc. The answer is those thoughts are coming from your ADDICTION! Yes your addiction is pointing out how much you enjoy smoking and how special you are for smoking without any issues and of course you are so special that cancer is not an option.

So the actual quitting was easy. I found the tough part was about 2-3 weeks later when I felt an urge for a cigarette when a situation occurred that when I was smoking, would smoke a cigarette. I have talked with other people who said this was the part that when they felt some stress, they automatically went back to smoking thinking they would attempt to quit at a later date. My though was “I did not quit smoking to go right back to it!” So what I did was I immediately noticed the situation that was causing the urge and then stopped what I was doing. I sat down and started a simple meditation where I focused on my in and out breath knowing that the urge would pass in about 20 seconds. Sure enough, it did and the next time the same situation came up the urge was non-existent. I did this ever time I had the smoking urge and eventually it was a rare event.

These days focusing on your breathing during a meditation is called “Mindfulness Meditation” and classes on how to do Mindfulness Mediation are being offered by most hospitals across the country (For a fee). American Idol 2018 – Audition #1 Day 2

Another entertaining episode and we did enjoy each contestant.  We usually pick one contestant from the early auditions that we think will be the next American Idol or at least in the top ten.  So here is our choice:

We liked his voice because it is very unique and his singing seemed like he has been singing forever.

The other person that we remember is the girl friend of the guy who has a crush on Katy Perry.  Why her?  Because she had her ear to the door when he was auditioning and couldn’t get through the door fast enough when he stopped singing.  She is cute, but hey, we are Katy Perry fans.  What is she going to do when her boy friend is in Hollywood?  Probably go with him.  We send her the best.

Jin Shin Jyutsu -Healing with Energy

My friend has been going through this treatment for a few weeks and the mucus in his lungs is completely gone along with some other aches and pain.  I talked to my friend before the treatment and he sounded like he had a sever chest cold and I even thought, maybe I should go see him.

Seems there are licensed people that do this treatment, but it seems to work for individuals.  A Google search provided us some practitioners in our area.

I woke up Sunday morning with a clogged head and nasal drip. I held my ring finger for five minutes and it all cleared up! Yes! Gone and I was amazed.

Meditation 101 – The Beginning

This post is for the people who don’t or have “tried” to meditate without success.  It’s like anything else, it takes practice and dedication.

If you say you “can’t” meditate then choose to change your wording to “I choose to meditate and I choose to find the time each day to meditate”.

We strongly suggest using the Mindfulness Meditation structure of breathing in and out of your nose.

For One week, choose to meditate for five minutes each day or as many times per day as you choose.


  • Locate a quiet place and music is optional.
  • Sit in a chair or on the floor with legs crossed, hands on knees, head slightly tilted forward and back straight OR what ever is comfortable for you.
  • Eyes closed or if your eyes are open then focus on a specific point like the flame of a candle.
  • Start with three deep breaths slowly inhaling positive energy and relaxing your muscles and exhale negative energy.
  • Begin breathing though your nose focusing on each inhale and exhale.
  • If thoughts come into your mind and interrupt you, then acknowledge the thought and go right back to focusing on your breath.

(We actually say out loud to the thought “Hello thought, we know you’re here, but we are going back to our meditation.)

Then each week expand the time length if you feel comfortable that you’re progressing.  Anywhere from a minimum of 30 minutes to and hour is great without an interruption.

  • The goal is to get to three minutes or more without a thought going through your mind and you feel at peace in silence.
  • If you get to total silence then before you start, think of an intention(s) you wish to address when you get to silence. Example: I would like to know what my guardian angels name is or I would like a sign that I am on my path.  You could ask for the next lotto numbers or just about anything you want.  Play with it.
  • The whole point is to control your energy and get the negative energy out of your body and replace it with Love Energy.

The intention goes out to the Universe / God and the result could be right away or may take some time.  By meditation you get your mind clear so the when the answer to your intention you will see the answer.  There won’t be a bunch of junk filling up your head.

In our post about quit smoking there are many examples of how we used Mindfulness Meditations to get past the urge for smoking.  This was a key to complete quitting and it taught us that even throughout the day you can call on an immediate requirement without a formal meditation.

We started meditation mainly to get rid of stress and when we found how great it worked, we started using it to rid ourselves negative energy and become a better person.  Then we came across Reiki Healing but we just did chakra meditations on our own.  Then we started looking for a Reiki Master to get initiated in level one and two.   We talked to several because we waned to feel comfortable with who we choose.  Finally in 2004 we found a Reiki Master in Orlando Florida and she was old school.  We were initiated to Level I (One) then after three months we were initiated to Level II.  The initiation for Master was a one year wait and required total commitment to Reiki.  We did not go that far because our main goal was Level II so we could send energy long distance (Upon request) and for self healing.

So my friends, we know that you will succeed in anything you dream about and we k now that meditation will help you get to your goal.  If you are in the bay area, let us know and maybe we can create a group and meditate together.  Group meditation is strong and we have seen it in action.

Once you get to a point where you’re effectively moving energy here is something we used to play with.  When you’re driving and you at a stop light, focus on the back of the head of the person in front of you and send a thought for them to move their head to the right.  Play with what you have learned its all part of the experience..

Meditation – Our Custom Chakra Healing Meditation

After looking through most of the Chakra Meditation video’s on YouTube we found nothing matched the way we were taught and in many cases we have made our own custom meditations when it comes to Chakra’s.  All the other meditations other than the Chakra meditations work great with my custom meditations.  If they work for you, then by all means continue using what you like and creating your own versions.  In 20 years of Chakra Meditation we can’t think of an instance when we meditated on one Chakra for an hour.  When doing a Reiki Session, yes, but not for our own self meditations.  They also use the Seven Chakra structure and we use the Nine Chakra structure.  Also the start from the Root Chakra and go up the body, we go from the Stellar Gateway (Above head – 12” above the Soul Star Chakra) and go down the body.  So we are going to share with you our custom meditation that we use for balancing our Chakra’s.  We don’t meditate on one because our logic is, if your going to spend the time you might as well do all the Chakra’s and usually, the Chakra you believe is out of balance isn’t the one.  If you focus on the one, then when your done your still out of balance.

Because we believe that keeping our Chakra’s in balance is part of our being.  In the Universe it’s all about energy and that Chakra’s are energy centers within our body.  Each Chakra has a meaning and its own color / frequency.  If you are interested in the creation and details about them, we invite you to search out the hundreds of links out on the web.  Use an open mind and don’t’ assume what the article says is correct.  Used your intuition and if it doesn’t feel right, move on.  You can also email us (Right side “contact us”) and we will answer your questions the best we can.

Our custom meditation is visualization in conjunction with mindfulness breathing.  As you will see, we don’t use the colors of each Chakra, and in order to test the balance of each, we visualize a one hand clock and if the hand is at twelve, then the Chakra is in balance.  If not at twelve, then we focus our energy on the Chakra until the hand reaches twelve.  Our ideal position is sitting in a chair with our feel firmly planted on the floor/ground, hands on each leg above knee.  Prone is next, but use whatever is comfortable for you.  If you can find a quiet place then that is a good thing too.  So here we go…..

Playing in the background is the Buddhist Bells – Buddhist Bowls

Take three deep breaths and relax your muscles with each breath.  Breathe in positive energy and exhale the negative energy.

Relax for a minute or two doing the mindfulness breath through your nose to get to a fairly clear mind.

Visualize a bright light about 18 inches above your head.  This is the “Stellar Gateway” which brings in a white and gold energy.  We call this the “God Energy”. This is the only color we use.

About six inches below the Stellar Gateway and six inches about your head is the Soul Star Chakra.  Visualize the Stellar Gateway feeding the God Energy to the Soul Star.

Visualize a Lotus Flower on top of your head with the petals opening and this is your Crown Chakra.  The God energy flows to the Crown Chakra from the Soul Star.  Check the balance of the Crown Chakra and if in balance move on.  As you move down your body visualize the God Energy filling the inside of your body down to the DNA level.

Third Eye Chakra is next to check the balance.  Move on if in balance.

Throat Chakra is next to check the balance.  Move on if in balance. As you move the energy down, visualize the energy flowing through both arms down to your hands as you continue.

Heart Chakra is next to check the balance.  Move on if in balance.

Solar Plexus Chakra (Solar Plexus) is next to check the balance.  Move on if in balance.

Sacral Chakra is next to check the balance.  Move on if in balance.

Root Chakra is next to check the balance.  Move on if in balance.

Visualize the God Energy flowing down both legs to you feet and then 12-18 inches below your feet, the Earth Star Chakra. (Some call this the “Super Root”)

When the Earth Star is in balance, visualize the God Energy flowing into Mother Earth like a river.  (We take care of Mother Earth for all).

When we complete Mother Earth send, we visualize sending the God Energy from the Heart Chakra out to the Universe for all to use as required.


If you lose your focus during, go back to the mindfulness breathing until you get your focus back.  You can also choose to use the Chakra colors and or frequency as a different way.

How to get on a Reality Show


I have been watching reality shows for a few years.  The main shows I watch are “Ice Road Truckers”, “Deadliest Catch”, “Extreme Loggers”, and just recently, “Gold Rush”.  The one thing all the characters on these shows have in common is “They ALL whine.” They take “whining” to the highest level and the best of the best on these shows is the commentator.  When the characters begin to taper off on whining the commentator jumps in and starts projecting on everything that can go wrong will go wrong.  As the show progresses the commentator points out what one of the characters is doing while you watch and tells you what that person is doing wrong or “might” be doing wrong.

There is some general whining that covers all of the shows.  Like for example “I have been up for 48 hours about to fall asleep standing.”. “What do they expect, I am new.”, I miss my family.”, “If I don’t get home soon I will go crazy.”, “How can I work in this terrible weather?”, “It’s to cold.”, “It’s to hot.”, “We are not making any money because Joe parted his hair on the wrong side of his head.”, Yada, Yada, and Yada.

Now if you really want to get on one of these shows you need to specialize your whining.  If it’s “Deadliest Catch” or “Tuna Time” you need to study the art of fishing in the ocean.  “Tuna Time” is a new reality show and I think all they did was use the old scripts from “Deadliest Catch” because they sound like they are using the same whines.  “We are not catching any fish because the captain does not know what he is doing.”, “How can the captain expect us to work in this storm?”, This is storm is making the deck slippery and it’s getting too dangerous to work.”, “I am a greenhorn, what do they expect from me?”, “If everybody would work as a team we could get rich in just a few weeks.”, and Yada, Yada.  On “Extreme Loggers”, “The “skidder” is broken and I can not get loaded.”  The saw broke and we are at a standstill”, “That 10 ton tree almost hit me when it fell.”  “The boss wants me to climb to the top of that 200 foot tree and cut the top off.”, and Yada, yada.  On “Ice Road Truckers”, “If I go too fast I could end up in a ditch or run off the side of a cliff.”, “The heater is not working in this rig.”, “The road is a sheet of ice and my tires are losing there traction.”, “I have to be in Nogascatuwan by midnight tonight with this load.”  “It’s snowing so hard I can barely see past the hood of my truck.”,  and Yada, Yada.

It’s probably fairly easy whining about the job, but what these characters are really good at is whining about making tons of money in a short period of time and how dangerous their job is.  I wonder if it ever dawned on them that the more dangerous the job the more money they make.  I don’t think so because the whine about making thousands of dollars in just a few weeks.

So now go out and find a really dangerous job where you make tons of money is a short period of time, study the industry and get to specializing your whines so you can zero right in on the subject matter.  Be sure to study the history of the industry and the disasters so you can have something to refer to if you get so good at whining you become a commentator.  When the show slows down they always go back to something terrible that happened in a given industry history.  For example on “Tuna Time” they mention “The Perfect Storm” on every show and sometimes several times during each show.  They always compare it to what is currently taking place and they always find a crew member or two who was “fishing” in the same decade as when the storm took place.

Now, go out there and get that great job and don’t forget where you got the tips on your new career.  Be sure to mention the “Alboutnothing” when you’re on camera spewing out the greatest whines in the history of reality TV.  The sad thing is “The Curse of Oak Island” used to be “whine” free, but the commentator recently has been whining and repeating old show history.

The “Real” President’s News Conference – 2009 Healthcare

I watched the President’s New Conference this morning because I wanted to hear his plan on national healthcare.  Other subjects were also covered such as his South America (Chile) Policy, the Economy, and the Smoking Law passed yesterday.  I really liked what I heard about all the subjects, especially his plan for National Healthcare.

I doubt the healthcare insurance companies like it because it will probably cut into their outrageous premiums, but that is exactly why it is being considered now.  With the millions of Americans out of work and all the others without a healthcare plan, I back the President 1,000% in his quest for a National Healthcare Plan.  I also like the fact that if the insurance companies want to get involved they will not be allowed to only insures healthy people.  They will have to take people with pre-existing health issues.

I once worked for a Commercial Property Insurance company and even thought it wasn’t healthcare insurance, the policies were probably the same.  They took in the payments and fought every claim “tooth and nail”.  I have had the same experience a few times with healthcare providers also.  They freely take your premium payment, but beware if you have a claim.

As far as healthcare cost these days here is a recent prime example.  We have someone visiting us from the Midwest and yesterday this person needed medical attention.  He is not working and does not have health insurance so we called our doctor at “The Palo Alto Medical Clinic” to see if he could get seen.  We were told that they required a $300.00 deposit just for a visit of a new patient without health insurance.  Well I can tell you that this person can not afford that kind of cost and we asked if they could refer other clinics in the area that may not required such a large amount of money for a visit.  They gave us several names and we call a few only to find none of them had any openings immediately.

So we discussed his options.  Because his symptoms were that his throat was swelling on the inside, we were afraid it might be life threatening and maybe a visit to a local hospital emergency room should be considered.  Of course, he would not have to outlay a “chunk of change”, but the final bill would probably be a few thousand dollars or more.

Well my daughter saved the day.  She did a “Google” search for some local clinics that provide immediate attention for “walk ins”.  Walla!  She found a clinic named “Quick Health” and we called.  They said they charged $59.00 for a visit and off he went.  When he came back he went on and on about how great everyone was and that they saw him within a few minutes of his arrival.  As it turned out, he did not have a life threatening illness and the doctor told him how to treat the swelling after a complete examination.  The total bill was just under 100 bucks.

Then two days later someone from Quick Health called him to ask how he was doing, as a follow up.  This impressed me.  This showed me that Quick Health was not just some “fly by night” company and if anyone in my family needs medical attention, Quick Health would be a strong choice.

Thank heaven he did not go the local hospital emergency room and have to deal with that bill.  Thank you Quick Health!

As a footnote:  I once went to The Palo Alto Medical Center and paid the $300.00 deposit for a visit.  The $300.00 was used up by my visit and the doctor’s diagnosis with an additional cost of $250.00 for the medication (20 pills).  Yes that’s right, 20 pills cost me $250.00.  (This in itself demands healthcare reform.)

I have nothing to add at this time except “Please Mr. President, help us folks out here who need some help with our healthcare!  We are with you all the way!”

Susan Boyle Finale…(A Dream from 2009)


After I finished watching the finals on Britain’s Got Talent on “” and I determined that it must have been a tough decision on choosing who should win.  It had to be a popularity contest because how do you compare a group of dancers to a solo singer?  The group named “Diversity” won and based on what I saw, they must have generated more votes just based on the number of people in the group and the age spread probably generated more “younger” votes.

In my opinion Susan should have won based on talent and inspiration to live a dream.  Simon said in an interview I watched, “I don’t think Susan has a clue as to how she has affected the world.”  Piers Morgan said it best to Susan, “You came along when the world was in turmoil and looking for some inspiration and you gave the world that inspiration.”  I agree 100% with that statement.

Even now when I watch that first video of Susan singing “I Dreamed a Dream” (original link not available) I get “goose bumps” just watching and listening.  The first time I watched this video the count was 20 million, then the next time it was 36 million, and then yesterday I watched again and it was 65 million.

Have you watched this video?  Just listen to the comments in the first two minutes of the video. Pay attention to the judgments being made by facial expressions and comments of both the audience and judges.  Were you making any judgments?  If you made that judgment then at the end of the video admitted that your first judgment was completely wrong and now you were going to stop “judging a book by its cover”, then that is how she has changed the “thinking” of the world.  When someone changes another persons thinking by an action taken, that is what I call inspiring, actually I call that a miracle.  Susan took the action by following her dream and appearing on “Britain’s Got Talent”, singing beautifully, and inspiring the audience.

I can think of nothing to add at this point except to wish Susan many blessing on her journey and since I did not see every episode ask, “How far did Stavor’s Flatley” get in the competition.
