PGA Golf Tour – The Open and Tiger Woods is Back

We have been following Tiger Woods since he started his professional career and now that he is back and kicking butt, we are back watching.  While he was gone we turned to NASCAR, but that proved to be boring and since Dale Jr. left and NASCAR attempted to make Austin Dillon the new young hero so we found it to be like watching WWF.  We found ourselves when watching NASCAR switching over to the TV Test Pattern for some excitement. Then one day we discovered the LPGA, yes we have seen the listing but never have stopped to watch.  So we figured it either the test pattern or ladies golf, so we went and watched the golf and to our surprise we enjoyed the playing and we are now following several players on Twitter.  Then Tiger came back and the LPGA became part time. and usually we watched repeats.

This weekend is the Open at Carnoustie Championship Course in England.  Now this becomes a challenge to watch because of the time zone difference. We want to see Tiger tee of on round 3 so we need to get up at 5:00 AM PST to see him tee off at 5:15 AM PST.  Now of course we could sleep later and watch the rerun, but we are true fans and we want to it live on TV.  The last time we got up at 5:00 AM PST was to watch the Hindenburg land in New Jersey in a different life.  Yes and it was worth getting up then and hopefully it will this time also.  Because today is Saturday part of the TV telecast will be on the Golf Channel and then later on NBC.  Early morning will be Golf Channel.

So we have a few questions about the commentators on the Golf Channel.  How come when one of the commentators says something good about a player, the other commentator always follows with something negative about the same player on camera?  Well not always, but 90% of the time.  For example:  1st Guy – You know that Happy Gilmore once played a full eighteen holes with a baseball bat and rake.  He broke the course record with a 62 score.  2nd Guy – Yes but ten years earlier he tried the same thing at the Players Tournament and they found that the rake was to long and he got disqualified.  Then something else they do is try to guess what the player that is on camera is going to do, which they are pretty good at and today, one of them guessed wrong and admitted it.  Yes!  He admitted it and we were blown away.  AT least when Tiger plays they make a point of showing his shots.

So we do have some questions about the clothing the players wear.  99% of the players wear baseball hats, but we noticed the some of tee guys wear the “bill” of the hat flat like they pulled it out of the wrapper and put on.  Then there are some that take the time to shape the “bill” so it curves almost to a half moon.  Then there are the ones in between.  Is this some kind of player identification?  Ricky Fowler is usually a flat hat.  Phil Mickelson is usually an in between, and Tiger is a full moon.  Bubba Watson wears one of those visors, so that leads to several other questions.  Maybe someone who knows about hats will respond to this post.

Then there are the people that came to watch.  Of course Tiger draws most of the people and he has a massive crowd following him.  If you look over the crowd you will see people walking and they going in several different directions.  Some are on the cart path walking is opposite directions, some are cutting across the grass away from where the camera is.  Where are all these people going?  It’s like a conveyor belt moving products around a warehouse.  It’s mostly ladies with children and very slow moving senior citizens.  The maintenance people ride around in golf carts like they are on a mission, but what kind of mission would warrant thousands of golf carts maneuvering all over kingdom come? Maybe some are security to bust those fans that take a picture or shout out “It’s in the hole” right when a player is hitting the golf ball.  This really pisses of the player and they usually turn and stare at the person who did the deed.

Now there was a surprise yesterday when they played some video of Phil Mickelson breaking the rules.  He hit a putt and it missed and was rolling down a hill.  Phil ran after the ball and hit it back before it stopped rolling. We were amazed that Phil would do this. Then they showed some other times he stretched the rules. This was like a rookie like me back when I was attempting to play golf.  It was a long time ago in a land far-far away but I wasn’t playing for millions of dollars and I was playing alone so no one knew.  My down fall was water.  When I stood on a tee getting ready to hit a ball, if there was water in front of me, I could hear it saying “Why even try to hit that ball?  You know I will soon be enjoying the pleasure of eating it!”  I kept the water well fed and then finally I lost it after hitting three balls in the water.  I they my three iron in the water and walked off the course never to play again.

So now we are checking our junk food closet to make sure we have enough chips and Gold Fish to get through Tigers next round.  Not to many stores open at 5:00 AM.

Oh we wanted to mention that Tiger was wearing a “KT Bandage” on his neck.  It looked like it went from just below his hair line down his back. The reason being that the bed he was sleeping on was hard and he did not like the pillow.  You would think that Tiger would have someone take care of moving his favorite pillow from place to place, but we guess not.  It seems that when the TV viewers saw the “TK” they went out and bought the tape.  The commentators mentioned that “TK” stock went noticeable up the day before.  “Tiger Power”

We have nothing else to report at this time except to thank all of our supporters that stop by here.  God bless you and have a safe weekend.

Belief System / Meditation / Notes and Hints

We are following up on our last post because several folks asked us to clarify whet we meant be getting rid of the past memories to get to the “now”.

Interesting because this was our biggest challenge and once we got past the challenge everything fell into place.

What to get rid of is making decisions in the “now” based on decisions from the past.  When you made a decision in the past it immediately changed and is no long valid in the “now”.  In our “Quit Smoking “post there are several examples.  Hers is one, in the past when we were working and came to a decision that required some thought, we would go have a cigarette to think it over.  When that decision scenario happens now, the past solution is no longer valid so we stop, take three deep breaths and “in our head” we welcome the urge for a cigarette and say to the “thought/urge” you can hang around if you choose, but we are going to do a mindfulness meditation for the next few minutes.  The “urge” passes and because we treated it by creating a new solution, the next time a decision is needs the urge no longer comes.

More important is anything you are hanging on to in the past, like anger over a divorce or you best friend running off with your girl friend or an argument that you want to be “right” about and are constantly think about these in the now, so you are giving energy to an Illusion.  As long as you continue to give energy by thinking about the situation from the past, then you will be chasing the “now” because you stuck in the past.  We happen to know someone who is still holding a grudge from 1999 and making major decisions based on that situation, when in fact everything about the situation has changed in the “now” reality.  He is still stuck back in 1999 and we have moved on, but we understand that it’s his choice and we honor his choice.  We have forgiven him and continue to pray for him, but we have moved on.  Anything you are hanging on to in the past only you can resolve the situation.  Forgive your ex-girlfriend and of ex-wife and the guy that might have run taken them away from you.  Forgive your mom for spanking you in front of your friends.  Forgive your fourth grade buddy who passed your love note on to that cute blonde girl in your class when he in fact said he would not.  Anything you can that you are hanging on to in the past that requires you to take action to clear it from your mind.  You will feel a huge weight have been lifted when you complete each and finally you will feel freedom.  You can use mediation and visualization to complete this task, because you only have yourself and The Universe to answer too.  Being true to your self is mandatory.  If you’re living a lie then or still stuck in the past, then the “now” will be a constant chase.

Do keep the good times and be sure to share with others, but don’t dwell or live anything from the past.  Remind yourself that your only reality is “Now” and the past and future are both illusions. Know and trust that The Universe will show and guide you on your path.

We talk abut achieving a clear mind and when you get to the “now” and maintain being in the “now” your mind will be clear.  Why do you wish to have a clear mind?  It’s because when The Universe presents you with a solution of an intent that your requested a month or two ago, you will see it or know it.  Let’s say your mate dumped you a few months ago and you asked (Intent) The Universe for a mate that is of the same mindset as you.  So today you are catching a plane at SFO and you’re making your way to the gate though a huge crowd when your eyes meet another person in the crowd and fireworks go off in your head and you just know “this is my future girl/boy friend”.  Now your eyes can only meet if your head is not staring at your IPhone. The Universe is coming through, but you’re not doing your part by playing “Candy Crush”.  Got it?

Maintain a clear mind by getting rid of everyday negative energy, be mindful of what you say and how you say it, keep your Chakra’s in balance, share your experiences with others, and have fun with the “new” you.  It does take some work, but the growth and living in bliss by far is one of the greatest rewards.  Being creative and sharing with others is why we are here.  Everything you dream about is here for you.  Do the work and go find it.  The journey will constantly amaze you and you will grow beyond your wildest dreams.

We have nothing else to add at this time and we send blessings out to all of you.  We do thank Amanda and all of our subscriptions both old and new for being the inspiration for our last two posts.

The Golf Channel or The Golf Gossip Channel – Karma

So folks all your hear these days is the name “Tiger Woods” and if you watch the Golf Channel they mention his name at least 500 times during a tournament.  Not only to they mention his name, they play older videos if his achievements on the links.  Even people in other sports are talking about the Tiger Woods comeback and yes folks, he is amazing and he is back to the golf world.  (The “G” is logo is for “gossip”)

We have been Tiger Woods fans since the first time he played on the professional tour and we knew then, this young man is going to be special.

He rose to number one in the world and stayed there for years.  Of course the Golf Channel promoted him to the maximum because he brought viewers to their channel.  Tiger was the greatest thing for golf like Michael Jordan was for basketball.  Then came a day when the new broke about Tiger being involved in some not so good personal problems that cost him his marriage and he quit playing golf.  We thought the Golf Channel would stay out of his personal problems and focus on the golf player, but no, The Golf Channel became the “The Golf Gossip Channel”.  They were on Tiger’s problems like flies on a fresh dog turd.  They had reporters outside his house and were repeating every bit of gossip that came to them, both true and not true.  It was a circus and The Golf Gossip Channel made it worse as the leaders.  We think they thought no way Tiger would return so they trashed him to the maximum.

Now comes the karma, what goes around comes around and now that Tiger is back and great the “The Golf Gossip Channel” at first was timid about his comeback and we even heard a few of the commentators saying no way he will make it and be any good.  These people must not be listening because Tiger said “This is a process and I need to learn all over again how to handle the actual playing in competition, so it might take a few weeks.”.  Then Tiger showed what he was talking about.  At first he missed some fairly easy shots, but and the weeks went on he got better and better and this last weekend he had a chance to win, but like he says, the process goes on.  The crowds this week were massive and last week at Valspar they had to expand the parking and all the other stuff that goes with crowd handling.  So now the “The Golf Gossip Channel” has eliminated the “Gossip” and is once again promoting Tiger in his comeback.  Since Tiger left nobody has filled the gap that Tiger left even though The Golf Channel promoted some really great young players, none matched Tiger and shown be the crowds now coming out to see Tiger.  We of course are dancing around our chair because he is back and we k new he would come back big time.

Now to the “The Golf Channel”, we are asking “When are you going to send a written apology to Tiger Woods?”  Remember when you were the main GOSSIP news channel focused on cheap shots at every chance.  This is Karma in action.  You did not think he would come back from losing his family, several back surgeries and losing his health.  But Tiger not only overcame terrible times and has “fixed” his family, his health, and is the favorite to win “The Masters”.   You came see on his face how happy he is and humble as one can be.  So Golf Channel, “When will you publicly apologize?”

Now if there is a cable channel like ESPN or some other sports network other than the low life Golf Channel you might want to consider making a contract with Tiger to telecast only Tiger woods playing a tournament.  Get some great commentators like the guys on CBS (Not Hicks) and have several cameras only following Tiger.  Maybe a reporter interviewing Tigers fans that are all around him as he plays or promoting “The Tiger Woods Foundation” where Tiger helps kids get a great education.  I know I would be tuned in and probably most of the Tiger woods fans in the world, yes the world knows who Tiger is.

So folks why not send a few million emails to The Golf Channel asking for an apology and a few billion emails to ESPN to telecast only Tiger Woods playing golf?  They could probably raise a few billion dollars for Tigers kids and communities that are in need of funds.

We have nothing else to report except we choose to send some emails soon and will look forward to the next tournament.  Thank you all for stopping by and we send our blessing to all of you.

American Idol 2018 – Audition #1 Day 2

Another entertaining episode and we did enjoy each contestant.  We usually pick one contestant from the early auditions that we think will be the next American Idol or at least in the top ten.  So here is our choice:

Laine Hardy American Idol # 50098

We liked his voice because it is very unique and his singing seemed like he has been singing forever.

The other person that we remember is the girl friend of the guy who has a crush on Katy Perry.  Why her?  Because she had her ear to the door when he was auditioning and couldn’t get through the door fast enough when he stopped singing.  She is cute, but hey, we are Katy Perry fans.  What is she going to do when her boy friend is in Hollywood?  Probably go with him.  We send her the best.

So here is our second choice from tonight:

David Francisco American Idol # 20098 and a link to his story David Francisco bike accident

So great show and we will continue next week.  Thanks to all for stopping by.

We have nothing else to report except we wonder if they went up against The Voice on purpose?

American Idol 2018 – Audition #1

Judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan were beyond awesome in their debut of American Idol 2018.  It was entertaining in every way. Funny, drama, interesting, and even though we did not have any expectations,  we were happy to see that it will be a great season.  Thank ABC for bringing back an entertainment icon and inviting hundreds of young people to follow their dreams.

We do have a suggestion, though.  The blonde screamer who though she is gods gift to music did make us happy to hear her stop singing/screaming should get together with the Russian Dude with the ultra high voice.  Then get married, and go rent a Mustang convertible and drive around neighborhoods singing together breaking windows from NY to LA.  When in LA there is a little know religious sect up in the mountains of Irvine East that praise the high voices of the God Screamy-Mimi.  They both would probably rule this sect and have a constant audience of fans.

We were so entertained that we and an inkling to tryout for American Idol, but we beyond the age limit so far we need to wait for American Idol for Seniors with walkers.  Even if we were the right age, because Katy Perry has been our female favorite singer since she was born would have been an issue.  Without first drinking two or three six packs of beer, we probably could not have made a sound just seeing Katy.  So maybe in our next life we will do some Kundalini Meditations and be ready for singing in front of Katy, Lionel, and Luke.

Thanks again ABC, we are looking for a great season for American Idol.

We have nothing to add except we are putting together a new Katy Perry song list.

Susan Boyle Finale…(A Dream from 2009)

britains_got_talent

After I finished watching the finals on Britain’s Got Talent on “utube.com” and I determined that it must have been a tough decision on choosing who should win.  It had to be a popularity contest because how do you compare a group of dancers to a solo singer?  The group named “Diversity” won and based on what I saw, they must have generated more votes just based on the number of people in the group and the age spread probably generated more “younger” votes.

In my opinion Susan should have won based on talent and inspiration to live a dream.  Simon said in an interview I watched, “I don’t think Susan has a clue as to how she has affected the world.”  Piers Morgan said it best to Susan, “You came along when the world was in turmoil and looking for some inspiration and you gave the world that inspiration.”  I agree 100% with that statement.

Even now when I watch that first video of Susan singing “I Dreamed a Dream” (original link not available) I get “goose bumps” just watching and listening.  The first time I watched this video the count was 20 million, then the next time it was 36 million, and then yesterday I watched again and it was 65 million.

Have you watched this video?  Just listen to the comments in the first two minutes of the video. Pay attention to the judgments being made by facial expressions and comments of both the audience and judges.  Were you making any judgments?  If you made that judgment then at the end of the video admitted that your first judgment was completely wrong and now you were going to stop “judging a book by its cover”, then that is how she has changed the “thinking” of the world.  When someone changes another persons thinking by an action taken, that is what I call inspiring, actually I call that a miracle.  Susan took the action by following her dream and appearing on “Britain’s Got Talent”, singing beautifully, and inspiring the audience.

I can think of nothing to add at this point except to wish Susan many blessing on her journey and since I did not see every episode ask, “How far did Stavor’s Flatley” get in the competition.

2018 Olympics in PyeongChang South Korea – Day 3

So today seems to be Womens’s Hockey Day and since we don’t like watching men’s hockey, no way we are going to watch Japan VS Sweden Women’s Hockey preliminary round.  Of course there is always Curling but the only curling we want to see is at a hair salon.

So were were channel surfing and saw an awesome NBC Interview with Chris Mazder, the USA history making Luge athlete that won the Silver Medal.  Chris is in a state of bliss! Just watching and listening to him makes us feel great.

This is how we wish everyone could feel and we can because we have the choice to feel the bliss!  The minute you wake up in the morning right when you open your eyes say to yourself “Today I will live in bliss!”. Then, quoting Nike, “Just do it!”. Keep reminding yourself that you are in bliss and after a few days of practice you won’t need to remind yourself, you will be there.  Of course there might be a few rough times, but know that you will face the tough and get through to your bliss.  Look st Chris in the above picture, he is so happy he is in tears of happiness.  In his interviews you can hear his bliss when he talks.  And guess what, this is what we have been seeing from every athlete at the Olympics.  It’s great watching and hearing that the Olympic energy is kick butt great.

We feel like we have been assigned the NBC viewer reviewer, because every time we watch an event we find mistakes.  This morning we were watching Women’s 1500 meter speed skating and when Brittany Bowe took first place NBC Tom Hammond became enamored with Brittany so much that on the next race he called the Cezh  Republic skater Brittany Bowe.  His partner quickly covered his butt buy correcting the error.  Brittany’s time got bettered as a few other racers did better, but Tom kept making references to Brittany Bowe.  NBC might consider sending Tom to a Brittany Bowe’s addiction class in Siberia.

So we will probably watch Olympic Prime Time and if there is something that we think needs reporting like, Pence and Adam Rippon making up, or a Curling athlete tossing the “stone” at record breaking speed, or Shaun White doing the Men’s Half-Pipe Snowboard dressed in only a red-white-blue “speed-o”, we will surely report it.

We have nothing else to report except to congratulate Gabrielle in the awesome “slime” creations she has created.

The Voice Fall Season 2015

voiceIt’s official Blake and Gwen are dating even though a few weeks ago when rumors were flying they said they were just friends.  That goes to prove you can’t trust what two single people seen sneaking around say.  Will this tip the scales when it comes to judging?  They are now on the same team so to speak.  It will be interesting to see if Adam or Pharrell will even mention it.

At least the talent is awesome this year and it’s really getting intense as the “live” shows get near.

We also have been following X-Factor except it’s tough to follow their scheduling on Sunday and Monday at the start to Saturday and Sunday now from what we understand.  Simon Cowell is a judge there and will be coming to the US to be a judge on the next season of America’s Got Talent.  Kind of a long commute from London to New York,  but he probably has his own private jet to cruise around in.

We have nothing else to report except to give a shout out to the Northern Michigan folks.  Because I spent so much time in the Upper Peninsula I been following a sight that posts various sightseeing photos of places like Copper Harbor, the end of US 41, the copper mines, etc.  and now I want to go back and visit.  Maybe next summer.

To all the veterans out there in cyberland we say THANK YOU!

The Voice 2015 Fall Season — The Knockout’s

Filed under: The Voice — alaboutnothing @ 4:16 pm

voiceNow we know why they call these shows the “The Knockouts”, it’s because as a avid viewer we are just plain knocked out by the concert level vocals by the contestants over the past two nights.  WOW!  We are sure glad we are not judges.

By the way did you see Blake, Adam, Gwen, and Pharrell on the Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show Tuesday night?  If you missed it we are sure you can catch it on YouTube, it was a roar watching Blake sing Y.M.C.A.

This season has certainly not disappointed us, in fact we think it’s way better than any other season, but then again, we say that every season 🙂

We are wondering if the car pool crowd is still watching? Have not heard anything, but they are a fairly quite bunch anyway 🙂

We have also been watching the X Factor – England, but it’s on such an odd schedule, we have missed many episodes.  Sunday and Monday shows and without a doubt Monday is The Voice night and there is no way we are watching the X Factor other than recording it on the DVR.  Then we play catch up because we have recordings from the weekend, and of course Tuesday is out because The Voice is on that night also.  Oh well, the X factor does not get very interesting until the “Live Shows”.

We have nothing else to report except to wonder how many folks have quit smoking recently.  If you used our advise from a few weeks ago have you noticed that it feels like a load has been removed now that you don’t have to worry if you have enough cigarettes? No more searching the entire house, rifling through all your old coats sweaters, drawers, and dress suits looking for a smoke.  No more needing to run to the 7-11 in the middle of the night to get a pack of smokes because your search came up empty.  No more planning an evening out based on if the restaurant has a smoking area and no more yellow junk on the paper towel when you clean your car windows.

The Voice – 2015 Fall Season – Battle Rounds 1 & 2

VioceWOW !  WOW ! Folks !  The first two nights of “battle rounds” have been GREAT !  YIKES !  The talent this year is beyond outstanding !  Have you seen your favorite yet ? Once again a concert every night!

The rumor mill was implying that Blake and Gwen were having a romance, but when Blake was asked he said they were just friends.

Onward and upward,  so lets enjoy this season and all the great talent, including Team Gwen, Team Blake, Team Adam, and Team Pharrell.  Next week the battles will continue and we have a list of singers we want to see.

The mentor / judge competition of words is really entertaining and the “steals” have begun. Making a choice by the team leader looks to be a really tough job.  We would just flip a coin.

We have never mentioned this before, but we think Carson Daly is one of the all time best hosts of any reality show.  It is really cool when he cheers with the families of each contestant when they were performing.

We have nothing to add right now except we strongly suggest that you take a few minutes and watch this video >>>>CLICK HERE<<<
