July 4th 2017

july4Happy 4th of July for all those out there in cyber-space and beyond from the AAN Team.

For those in cyber-space outside of any United States territory, “Have a great day of nothing also.”

We also would like to give a really special AAN shout-out to the British folks because if it wasn’t for them (way back when) we here in the U.S.A. would not have a four day weekend this year.  We are sending you guys a whole bunch of “NOTHING” that should help your economy.

Of course we wish to send our prayers out to all the US armed forces out there protecting us and not able to be here to enjoy the day.  THANK YOU!! X 1,000,000,000,000.00

We have nothing to add except be safe out there and if you have time, join us on Twitter.

So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 – Top 20 Results

Tonight’s SYTYCD judges were Nigel, Mary, and guest judge Megan M.

Based on the performances last night, the bottom three boys and bottom three girls will be “dancing for their life” for the judges.  The judges will then pick the one boy and one girl who will be going home tonight.

The bottom three boys were Tadd, Jess, Robert “Woo-man”, and Mitchell.  Mitchell did not dance last night so he is automatically added to the other three boys.

The bottom three girls were Jordan, Clarice, and Miranda.

After all the solos were performed the judges asked Mitchell and Robert “Woo-man” to dance their solos again.  This has never been done in all the seasons of SYTYCD and we were surprised along with many others.  Now we have to admit that we do not envy the judges this season because the talent is so awesome.  How they determine who goes home each week is sure going to be a chore.

As it all turns out, no one is going home this week, but next week two boys and two girls will be going home.  Whew!

Other highlights from tonight:

Keri Hilson sang her new song “Lose Control”

A Russian Ballet Dancer performed a style called “Gopak”, which was tried on SYTYCD last season and basically flopped.  The Russian guy showed how it is suppose to be done and did a great job with it, but in our opinion for SYTYCD, it flopped as a style to be danced in this format.

Then the world premier of Lady Gaga’s new video “Edge of Glory” was premiered on tonight’s show. And then it was announced that Lady Gaga agreed to be a gust judge later this season.

We have nothing else to report except that this year The second Annual National Dance Day will be July 30th, 2011.  < Click here for more details >

We hope to see you all out there in Cyberland again next week when we do the Top 20 all over again. Thank you very much for your support 🙂

SYTYCD — Dance Day in America

On the SYTYCD results show that was aired June 17, 2010 Nigel announced that July 31, 2010 is going to be “National Dance Day in America”.  The AAN Team believes that in itself this is a great idea, but we also think that it should be “Universal Dance Day”.  Why limit it to just America?  Lets make it so the entire universe takes part in dancing just for the fun of it on July 31, 2010.

A “Dance Day” routine has bee put together by choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon and here is a link for you to learn the routine:

Of course this routine is not an absolute requirement for Dance Day.  You can just create your own dance and just have some fun dancing with the rest of the universe.  Grab yourself a partner or even better, several others and dance just for the fun on it.  Several of the AAN Team Members proclaim to have two left feet and their plan is to create their own routine.

We have nothing else to report except that we hope we will be dancing along with all of you out there in cyberland on July 31, 2010 or maybe even before, just for the fun of it.
