Uber vs Lyft – Our Review

It seems that the Uber software has issues when a member has more than one phone.  We exchanged emails for three weeks and my contention was that my I-Phone blew up and quit working so I could not use it to cancel my account.  Every time we tried a message that Uber was sending an email to my phone to confirm the phone number.  We kept saying we could not confirm because we could not use the phone.  So then we would get transferred to someone else and start the explaining all over again.  Finally we found the perfect solution; we created a Lyft account and started using Lyft.  We figured our Uber karma was used up and we needed to go with the Lyft karma we had available.

Around this area we though that most of the drivers worked for Uber and Lyft but we quickly found out that many only drive for Lyft.  We have had some amazing Lyft rides since we started.  One thing we noticed that when we his the tab to book a ride we have never waited more than two minutes to get a response as opposed to Uber where we sometimes waited more than 10 minutes and had several requests accepted and then canceled by the driver.  We even had the Uber driver call and ask where we were going and then cancel our ride.  We had one driver that picked us up and then threatened to drop us off before we complete the ride because he was late for an appointment.

Our last ride was amazing and because we believe that everything happens for a reason this one brought together Greg the driver, Paul and myself the passengers.  When it came to drop off Paul we asked the name of where he worked and he said “The Billion to One Genetic Test Laboratory” where they do blood tests on pregnant mothers that wish to see if there babies are doing well in the womb.” He said that after 10 weeks the babies DNA is in the mothers’ blood so they can test for abnormalities.  He said they can’t test for everything but they do test for the most common.  Then the diver said “I sure wish my step-daughter would have tested the babies blood when she got pregnant because she had twins born with Canavan Disease which is one of the more rare genetic diseases and the twins were even featured on TV.  Here is the link to see the story on ABC <<<< Concord Ca Twins with Canavan  >>>>>>

Greg continued that there isn’t a cure for the disease but two babies have had brain operations and one baby dies on the table and the others results are being held as private.  Greg asked Paul for his phone number and they exchanged numbers.  What are the odds that these two guys would meet and we were there to document the event.  Greg said he felt helpless but supported the babies as mush as possible. The twins are basically completely immobile and their life span is short.  The care is very expensive, but they all pitch-in and help the family.

We pray everyday for the twins and we ask all of you out there in cyberland to maybe send a prayer or two for the twins and the family.

In one of our resent post we mentioned that we had a cyst on our spine and were going to the Spine Dept. of Stanford for a consultation.  We did the consultation and found we had two cysts on our spine (cancer free) and saw the MRI image which shows a very healthy spine and the cysts are not interfering with any of the nerves. We don’t need an operation but we will be going for therapy to solve the “burning” sensation and pain in our hips when we exert ourselves.  Medication is another option, but only if therapy does not work.  Prior to therapy we are going for a test to check the circulation in our legs.  We had this test back in December last year and there was not a problem.  We are on a mission to get our legs stronger so we can travel to other countries like Bhutan.  We of course will be assisting by sending Reiki healing energy to the Lumbar section of our spine.

We wish to thank all of you for supporting our site and stopping by ro check out the posts.  The mass shootings in the last few weeks were very sad and we have been praying for the families of the victims.  We must stop this madness and we will work to get assault weapons of the streets.

We have nothing else to report except to say to all of you that you have the power to change the world and along with others we shall overcome the madness.  God bless all of you.
