Belief System / Daily Hints / Daily Challenges

There are events that are everyday occurrences, some we consider negative or an aggravation to you, which eliminates you ever getting to a peaceful life.  We have experienced everything that we are going to describe and we will continue to only describe our experiences.  This is why we all are on this planet!

Way back when we lived in Indiana and working as a software developer we spent a lot of our time driving.  Good old Illinois Toll Road and I-94 were our friends.  There was always a day when we were in a hurry and low and behold there was a traffic jam.  So we would sit there looking at our watch, rolling down our window to try and see what’s ahead, flipping radio channels to see if the reason was there.  In short, getting aggravated waiting.  Prior to getting on the road we happen to be reading one of Marianne Williamson’s books that actually mentioned waiting in line and her suggestion as to how better deal with it.  So here we are and we take three slow deep breaths, relaxing with each breath.  We actually felt relaxed and then we thought “The only big hurry is in our mind.  We will get to where we are going when we get there. Let’s take this time to enjoy these moments and besides, we don’t know the cause of the traffic so why attempt to run every possible cause of traffic jams through your head?  Why not relax and clear your head with a quick meditation, of course stay alert to the traffic because we don’t want to be the cause of people behind us going trough massive aggravations because of our fender bender.  We changed the radio to some rock and roll (Yes we sometimes meditate to classic rock and roll) and enjoyed.  Sure enough, the traffic started moving, showily at first, the up to the limit.  To this day we do the same process except when we see the traffic ahead we send the intention to the “traffic angels” to possibly get the traffic going soon.  Of course, if we get “stuck”, we accept it and enjoy the time until we are motoring along.  This also applies to the people at the other end where we are going.  If someone is late, so be it.  You have no idea why they are late and here is a phrase we use often, “Is the world going to end if….” they don’t show up, we don’t get there quick?  Add what you choose and we find it to be a good alert to pondering the answer depending on the event.

So then when the traffic gets moving we motor along watching the people speed because they think the world is going to end if they don’t get to their destination.  Then some guy cuts you off.  He swerves from the right lane moving to the left missing you by inches and ends up in the far left lane.  Normally we would imaging a mushroom cloud above our head because of the explosion of profanities coming out of our mouth and going into max aggravation mode for several minutes.  This was also in Marianne’s book and we use it all the time.  When we get cut off we say out load “God Bless you!”, “Great job of driving!” That’s it.  No profanity. No aggravation for several minutes. It’s done, let’s move on.

See, in just two examples we have removed many minutes’ even hours of aggravation that we would normally bring on ourselves.  Sometimes we dwell on a simple “cut of” for several hours.  It’s all about changing our thoughts and responses to make a more peaceful and happy life for ourselves.  Remember if you’re on RT 101 going north to San Francisco and you get cut off by an Uber driver with a passenger that has white hair and a pony-tail be sure to send blessings to the driver and passenger.

There are also the daily surprises where something doesn’t go the way you expected, like someone was suppose to pick you up and did not show up or they are late.  We used to freak out similar to when someone “cut” us off.  Now first of all we don’t expect anything.  This way if it doesn’t happen then there is no disappointment and if something happens then we welcome it.  Now instead of “freaking out” we welcome the opportunity to create a solution and thank The Universe.  We know The Universe will show us the solution and because we have a clear head, we will know it immediately.  Here is an example that happened a few weeks ago:

We were leaving our doctor appointment and we could not get an Uber signal.  We tried several times and then we moved closer to the parking lot.  Then we called a friend and as we were talking a lady passing by asked “Where are you going?  Maybe I can give you a ride?”.  We told her and she said she wasn’t going that way.  We thanked her and said “God Bless you and have a great day.”  Still taking with our friend, the Uber Signal appeared (10 seconds later), so we hung up and did our Uber Booking.  Here is something else we do and that is when we book an Uber ride we always look forward to enjoying meeting the driver and because we usually ride “pool”, picking up a passenger along the way.  Juts last week we were “Ubering” and we were telling the driver that we were planning a trip to Mount Shasta this summer.  He asked why, and we said “Because it’s a energy vortex area and we plan to do some meditations there and enjoy the energy”.  He looked at us and smiled and said, “I have been looking for a place just like that sine I came to this country.” He immediately wrote the name and said, “I will go there for a day.  Do you want to go with me?”  We said, “Thank you, but we plan to stay longer”.  The point here being, we shared and connected with the driver.  Give sharing with others a shot (“try” is not a word in our vocabulary).  We guarantee you will be surprised.

We have nothing to add at this time. (To be continued)

Message to visitors:

We admit were hesitant in doing posts about our Belief System and now that we started, we received hundreds of likes, hits, and many new subscribers.  We now know why we started this series and it came to us recently.  In my post about my Near Death Experience, when we were on the other-side and it was so peaceful and calm, and that voice said “We are sending you back, you have many things to complete in your lifetime before you come back here.”  I did beg to stay there, but here we are and we truly believe this is one of the things the voice was talking about.  God Bless every one of you and thank you for allowing our words to be part of you.

Driver-less /Hands Free Vehicles Editorial

When I was driving for Uber driver-less cars was the subject of 50% of the conversations and out of that 50%, 80% would not use a driver-less car.  So its been discussed and this is our opinion.

A driver-less car is basically totally controlled by a “CPU” with special software, and the software is probably as complicated as we have ever seen.  Then the software controls a bunch of gadgets like gas pedal, brakes, and just about every other component that it takes to drive the car. Being an “EX” software developer that has written software for over 5 decades and some very complicated (Not like this) we can safely say “There is  no way in hell that this software can completely be tested.  The basic routines probably yes, but the little used routines probably got over-looked or not all the conceivable possibilities that can happen while driving a car are included.”

Just think about how many software AP’s, operating systems, etc. you use that have been around for years and they still get errors?  An error in a driver-less car could mean injury or worse to the passenger. The “CPU” may not know what to do on an error or might use the wrong routine to attempt a solution.

Juts think you might be in the back seat, rock & roll blasting the audio system, enjoying the ride going down 101 South and unknown to you there there is a car chase and the car being chased in Northbound in your lane , about a mile away in your lane, and coming head-on toward you at about 90 MPH.  So in less than a minute the two of you will meet.  You see the other cars going in your direction moving off to the left and right to avoid the oncoming car and then you see it about a 1/4 mile away, coming fast.  You notice the “CPU” has not done anything except flash a warning on the overhead message center that it’s having a problem that it does not know what to do.  Comforting huh?  You thought about jumping in the front seat and take control, but it’s to late.  You can only hope that the car coming at you is going to veer around you but at the last second you see that driver is looking back at the chasing police cars, not at you and “BOOM!”.

You might survive, but if you find yourself floating about a hundred feet over the crash site and you look down and see the driver-less car in about a million and one pieces, and notice there are angels on each side of you guiding upwards, then you probably did not make it.  We you get to the Pearly Gates you see a huge sign, “Driver-less Car victims go to the right and follow the arrows to the processing center.  Everyone else come right in, your party has started.”  When you get to the “Processing Center” you find out that because you died in the hands of a computer/software they did not know you were coming and on their books you had another 80 years to live.  So now they are scrambling for somewhere to put you and because of the outer thousands of souls in your line, it turns out that the Devil is taking the overflow in holding for 30 days and then you will be processed.

So we are taking a humorous look at this, but think about it.  When you get in or use a driver-less car, you have no idea how it functions or what you need to do if it malfunctions.  When you get in that car you are now a “Test Rat” and you are paying to be a “Test at”.  If you have ever driven you know that things come up that even surprised you.  The “chases” example above actually happened to us in Southern California in the mid eighties and the stolen car was a truck driven by a young kid.  When we saw the helicopter, we moved along with everyone else to the side of the road.  The driver-less cars stayed in their lanes. (There were none).

There is another worry is these vehicles use a electronic (GPS) map,  and the map might be wrong.  Example is when I was driving for Uber I was taking three students from Menlo College to China Town and when we were getting close, we came to a stop light.  The “map” said “Go straight a mile and then turn left.”  I showed this to the passengers because looking out the front window we saw that the road went about 1/2 mile and there was a six foot hight brick wall completely across the street blocking all traffic.  You have to ask yourself, “Would a driver-less car noticed?” Of course, the speed limit was only 35 MPH so a minimum of damage would have been done, but hopefully when the car got near it would do a U-Turn and continue on another way.  BUT you being a “Test Rat” don’t know for sure do you?

The only time this soul would get in a driver-less car is if a confirmed report has a comet coming toward Earth and a confirmed report that the comet is going to destroy the Earth, we would take driver-less car to the nearest bar and get really, really drunk. (If we made it that far).

We have nothing else to report and we thank you all for stopping by.  God bless all of you and have a great week,  We think the POTUS should be the first one to use a driver-less car to prove they are safe.

Driving – Cell Phone Texting / Talking while driving

cellIn California it’s illegal to drive and talk / text on a cell phone while driving a vehicle.  I have not seen this enforced, but it is the law.  The closest thing we have seen to enforcing is after a “fender” accident bender the officer checked both cell phones of the drivers involved, we assume looking for the time of the last chat or phone call.  Just this morning we were at a stop light and the driver in the SUV in front of us was chatting away on a cell phone and right next to the SUV, on the left, was a police car, bur because the SUV driver was about a foot higher than the police car, so the officer could not see the law-breaker.  When the light turned green the cell phone disappeared quickly.

We think we have a solution to this issue, not only for catching the cell phone law breaks, but also for the safety of the vehicles around them.  We have seen countless times cars weaving left and right in their lane while talking away on a cell phone.  This is a big time danger to the rest of us and if we knew they were chatting on a phone, we would make sure to avoid the “law breaker”.

So here is what we think should be done to combat these people who seem to have a need to talk / text on their cell phone while driving.

A device needs to be created that consists of a camera, sensor, transmitter, and G.P.S. unit.  The “device” needs to be embedded in the dash-board or a position where the driver is clearly accessible.  By “embedded” we mean the “device” can not be easily removed by anyone.   The “device” will only scan the drive side (Area) of the vehicle and when the driver turns on a cell phone or the passenger gives the driver a cell phone already turned on the “device” will pick up the signal as soon as the cell phone enters the scan area.  The instant the driver starts using the cell phone, no matter if it’s a call or starts texting, the “device” will activate the hazard lights so that any other drivers in the immediate area will be warned that this vehicle is dangerous and should be avoided.  The “device” will then transmit a message to the nearest police department with the G.P. co-ordinates of the vehicle, the license plate, a video clip of the driver, and a message of what is taking place for example, ”Driver texting in progress”.   The hazard lights will remain on as long as the phone is in the driver area with a 30 minute time extension when the driver passes the cell phone to the passenger or turns it off.

This “device” needs to be built and each state needs to pass a law that directs the auto companies to include this “device” in all the new cars and take charge of adding the “device” to the already existing auto’s built in the last 10 years.  Driver-less autos will also be exempt but only the ones that do not have a steering wheel.

So we a calling for one of you “genius” engineers out there in cyberland to go build this “device” and get it in to production as soon as possible.  Of course, you will become very wealthy so you can donate some of the profits to the rehabilitation centers that will be required for the cell phone “addicts” that get caught and receive a “DWT” Citation (D-Driving, W-While, Texting/Talking).  Multiple citations will lead to a driver receiving the maximum capital punishment, loss of cell phone rights.

We have nothing else to report at this time except to share our excitement in the return of “The Voice” next week.
