Healing Meditation – Beginning Meditation – Mind Body Connection

The following post is a copy of the first meditation we learned for healing our body.  It’s a basic meditation we learned in the 90’s, but we still use it to this day and it’s the meditation we used for 90 days in a row to heal (Get rid of) the nodules in our lungs causing COPD.  We are dedicating this post to our new students taking the “Mind Body Connection” Class at Stanford Integrative Medicine.  Search Keyword: Payrovi

Start by getting into a comfortable position like sitting in a chair with your feet firmly on the floor, hands palm to palm on your lap, and your head slightly tilted down. We use the chair, but the whole point is to be comfortable and like we say in other posts, if you’re comfortable standing on your head, then stand on your head.  Remember when we start that if anything interrupts you always go back to your breath.  Your breath is your anchor, your “go back to” place.

Now take three deep breaths and on the out breath release your stress energy and on the in breath bring in relaxing energy and feel yourself relaxing with each breath.  Now start breathing through your nose slowly in and out, in and out, this is your constant.  Visualize above your head a lake of Green water/energy.  (Green is healing energy) A huge lake just for you to use and at the bottom is a funnel down to the top of your head.  See the flow coming down into the top of your head entering your body.  Continue breathing and enjoy this healing energy entering your body knowing that it is for you to use to heal.

Visualize the energy filling your head down to the DNA level and continuing in a downward movement.  (No rush)  At the base of the neck visualize energy flowing down each arm and directly down to your heart and continue on through your body on to your feet.  Fill your body with this healing energy and continue breathing.  If there is a specific place in your body you wish to focus on then visualize that place healing as the energy swirls around it.  If it’s your immune system or cells, then visualize the DNA returning to your original healthy state. Visualize your body healing and see the healing energy exiting your heart as it flows by and being sent out to all the need it.

Just relax and enjoy the healing.  If a thought interrupts then in your mind say to that thought “I see you but I am going to continue my meditation”.  The thought will go away is a few seconds.  Continue the breath and energy movement.  Eventually the thoughts will cease and you will be in a place of peace, love, and light.  Feel the bliss, the complete silence, the connection with all that is. Relax and enjoy.  If you had any questions before you started meditation then this is where you will get the answers.  You will know that it’s an answer for you and not a thought.  You will feel it and know that it comes from a higher place.  Continue the breath and when you are ready to complete the meditation be thankful and ot grateful for this moment.  Slowly comeback to this moment and open your eyes.  (Smiling?)

There isn’t any specific length of time to meditate.  At first five minutes is great start and as you practice your meditation will grow in length and simply enjoy each moment.  Even when you are done, know that your healing is continuing as you go about your day.

As we meditate, we always are sending energy out to the Universe and all that can use the healing.  We say “we” because we invite our Guardian Angels, our Spirit Guides, all the Arch-angels, Buddha, Jesus, Allah, and all the leaders of all the religions to joint us in our meditation.  They are always here for you and you can call on them always and in all ways.  We have one on one conversation with them many times though out the day.  Remember folks, you do not have any limits.  You can choose to be “you” and they will help you always.  Just ask!  Simple as that “Ask”.  Jesus knows that when we say “Hey dude” we are talking to him.  Have fun with this.  Experiment with questions or actions just to see the results.  When we are in traffic at a stop light we sometimes focus on another driver with their head turned away and see if we can get them to turn around.

Meditation Notes – Misc Mindfulness

Mindfulness Mediation can be broken down to two different styles that we know of.  There are probably a zillion more, but we are only going with two.

The first would be the Medical/Business, which is using the Meditation to control pain (Medical) and in business to relieve stress or clear you mind.  We have to admit using Mindfulness Meditation to control pain, once mastered, would be awesome.  We have read some articles where cancer patients have learned to control the intense pain with mediation (Scale of 1-10  20).  In business, from what we understand, Google employees have a Meditation Guru and they use the meditation to relieve stress and anxiety by breathing out the tenseness and relaxing.  This is good for the employee and boosts creativity in the work place.

The second is what we learned at The Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City, CA which is a Buddhist version for the mind, body, and spirit.  We also use this style when using Reiki Energy for healing.  Here when you are meditating and a thought comes into your mind and refuses to go away, you go deeper and determine what is causing the thought, then either work on the issue immediately or consider working on it at a later date.  An example would be you initially felt anger and when you went deep you found it came from a bullying incident when you were a child or from an event in the past.  This form of meditation is used to help yourself to clear out the crap you have collected throughout your life.  In Reiki cold energy is various part of the body is caused from specific emotions or past experiences.

So past experiences is what we are using Meditation to get rid of.  Think about it.  A a memory is an illusion.  So if you are getting angry from someone slapping you when you where a child, then you are living in an illusion. There is nothing you can do to stop the slap all these years later and the pain of the slap goes on because you are keeping it alive by thinking about it and reacting to it.  Just like when we quit smoking, when an urge from the past surfaced and we normally would go have a smoke, instead we recognized the urge, we talked to the urge by saying “You can hang around, but we choose not to smoke and will continue on by meditation.” The next time the urge came along we did not get an inkling to go have a smoke, we just noticed the urge and continued on.

So we are using meditation to move to “Live in the moment” because the past and the future are illusions and our only reality is in the now.  If you apply this to other people you will find that judgments go away. If you are judging someone based on a past experience then you are judging them on an illusion. Everything is in a state of change, in every moment, always, and in all ways so nothing is as it was.  People talk about peace of mind, or bliss, this is the way to get there.  It’s not easy, but the when you get there you will be grateful and thanks everyone you met along the way for helping you.
