The Curse of Civil War Gold – History Channel Review

We are working on getting a post about toxic foods, honest. In the mean time we feel like we need to do a post about this show that is is the second season and a spin-off of The Curse of Oak Island.  Marty from Oak Island first met with these guys and now Marty’s son is directly involved in this show.  We watched a few of season one, but the only thing we found is “There isn’t any curse on the Civil War Gold”.  The only reason that put “The Curse of” in the title is because it’s a spin off of Oak Island.  Right off we were suspect about this show.

Last season the point was to find the gold that was supposedly dumped into Lake Michigan and they had the need to justify this to Marty so that Marty would back them in their search.  They did and this season they started diving on where they thought the gold was in Lake Michigan.  This is where they expect the viewers to trust them. Get this.  The dive down and find what looks like a wreck sight and they find some objects the size of a brick.  Yes, the size of a brick would indicate a gold bar to us and if it was us we would grab that “brick” and take it to the surface and scrap it off to see if it is a gold bar BUT instead, they say “We can’t move or touch anything we find because the State of Michigan must give us a permit.”  If you believe this then we have a bridge to sell you.  They have been searching for this gold for years and now they are close, but they don’t touch the object(s) when no one is looking (Turn off the camera).  Come on folks!  The only “curse” has to be watching this nonsense.

Then of course they seem to find that there is some sort of huge conspiracy also involved in the dumping of this gold so off they go chasing rumors as to prove their new theory.  By the way if you listen to what the “voice” commentary is saying then that should throw you way off in where these guys are going.  Then one day they were scanning a property looking for a tunnel and the device they were using showed what looked like a tunnel under the ground.  Good huh?  No, the excuse they gave for not being able to dig is because they need permission from the owners of the property.  Figures, Right?  This show is right up there to when on April 21, 1986 when Geraldo Rivera went searching live for “The Mystery if Al Capone’s Vaults” on a live broadcast and found nothing.  It was a total bust!  All he found was debris. (The video is on Geraldo’s web site)

Our opinion is if you want to know how this will end, then watch the last show otherwise go search for something else to watch at this time.  (We suggest America’s Got Talent)

We have nothing to add at this time except to say to today’s Uber riders we shared a car with, that was an awesome ride and it was great to be around “like-minded” people.  God bless all of our subscribers and followers.  And to Mario the Uber driver on the way back we say “Hallelujah”!!

Opera Browser Review and other AAN stuff

My long vacation is over an it’s time to report on what we have been doing and the many interesting places we have been both on-line and off. I have been screwing around with Firefox and Chrome both of which pissed me off so we read about Opera and so far we find it to be perfect for our needs.  We are on it now and so far so good.

We have been living on Twitter for several months supporting the anti-Trump folks and pushing for the #calext (California becoming its own country) proposition. We like #calexit because the point is we don’t want some moron like Trump determining our present and future.  We also have been organizing the Reiki folks world wide to send healing energy to the victims of the recent hurricanes and earthquakes. I once lived in Florida and would not go back, but the folks there have taken a beating and we care.

Recently we discovered that several dating sites contain hundreds of scammers of various types and we have names and will be doing some blogs on what we experienced and solutions. Right now if you are on a dating site and the person you are talking to lives in Ghana and they are asking you for money to get a new cell phone or some other expense then they are probably a scammer. Google “Ghana scammers” and look on YouTube you might just see something disturbing.

We are happy to say that we are still smoke free and have helped other to become the same way. Motto “Smoke cigarettes is like holding a gun to your head and pulling the trigger on a gun that shots a slow moving bullet.” You will suffer and your family will suffer right along with you.

We still watch So You Think You Can Dance, Deadliest Catch (Less), Americas Got Talent (Addicted to Heidi), Pawn Stars, every Golden State Warriors game (Eat your heart out Chicago), every Raiders game, some 49’s games (they need to win us back), The Voice (Less), X Factor, just to list a few.

We are also going to be reporting on some medical experiences that we have currently (Noting major) and have researched. We consider ourselves blessed that we did not have any issues other than shortness of breath after we quit smoking but what we found was he inherited one called Orthostatic hypotentension which has no cure but can e managed, and another called Polymyalgia Rhueumatica (PMR) and 20% of PMR patients have Temporal Arteritis and we are in the 20%.  Then for our followers who have met us here is a little tidbit that will probably make you smile. Between quitting smoking and the medications we have gained some weight after 65+ years at no higher than 150 we now weigh in at 190. At least we have leveled off here. (Hope you did not injure yourself when you fell off your chair Aaron). We must add that Stanford Hospital and The Stanford Medical Group have been beyond outstanding is every phase from the supporting staff to the amazingly talented doctors.

Of course there is more, but we have a craving for Cheeto’s and need to go find some.

We have nothing else to report except to say to everyone we hope you and your families are all well and we send you many blessings. We hold ourselves grateful having met so many great folks and knowing some very special people.

The Voice – 2015 Fall Season – Battle Rounds 1 & 2

VioceWOW !  WOW ! Folks !  The first two nights of “battle rounds” have been GREAT !  YIKES !  The talent this year is beyond outstanding !  Have you seen your favorite yet ? Once again a concert every night!

The rumor mill was implying that Blake and Gwen were having a romance, but when Blake was asked he said they were just friends.

Onward and upward,  so lets enjoy this season and all the great talent, including Team Gwen, Team Blake, Team Adam, and Team Pharrell.  Next week the battles will continue and we have a list of singers we want to see.

The mentor / judge competition of words is really entertaining and the “steals” have begun. Making a choice by the team leader looks to be a really tough job.  We would just flip a coin.

We have never mentioned this before, but we think Carson Daly is one of the all time best hosts of any reality show.  It is really cool when he cheers with the families of each contestant when they were performing.

We have nothing to add right now except we strongly suggest that you take a few minutes and watch this video >>>>CLICK HERE<<<

The Voice Season 7 – Audition Night #2

VioceOnce again another The Voice Concert and we enjoyed every moment.  Sure looks like the two rookie judges have come prepared and are giving Adam and Blake a run for their money.  Pharrell is fun to watch and we would type more about him but when we type his name here we get the dreaded spell check underline.

So finally the season started and we have been waiting for years (exaggeration) for this season to start.  During the break we tuned in on “Rising Star” and we liked the concept, but the execution seemed a little off.  The mentors / judges were terrible, possibly the worst we have seen since Demi Lavto was on the X factor.  There were several times when the “judge” would say to a contestant “I didn’t like when you did that “run”, but I voted yes anyway.”  What?  Talk about two faced ! Kesha rarely voted “no” even when she voiced what she did not like about a performance.  We must say that we picked the winner Jessia Kinch from the 1st time we heard him and hoped he would win.

The other show we watched every week was America’s Got Talent (AGT), and found this to be one of their best seasons ever.  When it got down to the finals it was up for grams as to who was going to win.  Mat Franco one of our favorites took home the million bucks and Emily West came in second, another one of our favorites.

Then after not watching So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) for two years we tuned in and when it conflicted with AGT we taped it and watched later.  Once again we were impressed by the level of dancing and Valerie was my grand-daughters favorite.  Valerie came in second with Rickie winning.  We are looking forward to next season already.  This show constantly amazes us by the quality of the dancing.

We have nothing else to report except that the special health drink and vitamins just got delivered and we will be reporting on the effects after we use them for about a week.

The Voice — Season 2014 Night #2

VioceWell folks, what can we say but “WOW!  That was one great show last night!”.  Once again the best voice reality show on the airways / fiber optic lines starts a new season with some of the greatest talent (and judges we might add) in the universe.  Every show is a concert in progress and we are enjoying every moment.

Looks like Shakira and Usher are out for a win this year, and Adam already has some great team members.  Don’t count out Blake, he will sneak right in also and as usual the judge antics, are always a perk to watching.

Last night there was one fellow that we were surprised that no chairs turned.  He was the one that sang “Blurred Lines” and that is one of my favorite songs and he sang it really great, but did not get any chair turns.  The judges said that his dancing may have interfered with the vocals, but that did not come across on our end.  It would be cool if The Voice producers would bring that guy back and give him another chance.  We think that guy could be a winner this year, even though the last singer last night was awesome.

We have nothing else to add right now except that we are looking forward to night #2 and another concert.  We hope all the car poolers are back this year and enjoying each show as much as us.   It was kind of weird using a tablet to post last night because it’s so different than a full laptop, however, it all takes getting used to.

Oh and a quick shout-out to all visitors that this is a No smoking post.  Please extinguish whatever your puffing on and enjoy a clean air and healthy environment.

The Voice — 2014

VioceWe have been waiting what seems like forever for this season to start and now it’s here !  we are kick’n back and enjoying the first show this year.  After enduring the start of American Idol and the never ending J-Lo self promotion, it is so refreshing to watch The Voice season 2014.

We have nothing to add right now except this is or first post from a tablet.

The Voice 2013 — Results

VioceSo Mathew was sent home this week and he has not had a good performance in the last few weeks.  So America was right on. And James W. our favorite was saved by the instant save.

Now we have found a way around the west coast being eliminated from the “instant save” and it just so happens that James was saved, possibly because our votes counted.  This is what we did.  The “instant save” opens for votes about 10 minutes before the show ends at 9:00 PM EST.  So at 8:45 PM EST (5:45 PST) we started Tweeting our saves for James and “bingo” James was saved this week.  We did our “instant save” without knowing James was in the bottom, kind of a “just in case” James winds up in the bottom two.  (It worked).

We were surprised to see Cole move on.  It’s probably because Blake’s fans are voting the last one standing on Blake’s Team.  Even though James is our favorite, right now it looks like Jacquie is the front runner.  The girl can sing up a storm.

Today on Ellen D.’s show Adam Levine was a guest and she asked him about why the west coast is not included in the “instant save”.  Adam answered with “the voting is really crazy.” and  never did answer the question.  The only answer is The Voice executives don’t give a hoot about the west coast voting.  Well, to them we say, if this keeps up we will stop watching next year and hey you guys, I am holding up my hand and giving you a west coast wave.  You know what kind of wave, it’s like when your diving down the road and someone cuts in front of you without warning.

Next Monday after The Voice episode ends another show we like “The Sing-Off ” starts it’s new season.  In fact, we have been following this show from the day it started.   Stay tuned and watch if you want to see folks singing without being accompanied by a band.  (a cappella competition ).

Other than having survived the Black Friday week-end frenzy of shopping spree, which will be described in our next post, we have nothing to add at this time.

Peace!

VioceAnother great night of The Voice and what can we say but our favorite “P-R-E-S-T-O-N” is looking good.  We haven’t seen anyone close yet, but ya never know.

Last night the X-Factor was on 1 hour before The Voice started so we watched and once again it was still boring and the lack of talent was the highlight.  Soon as clock hit 1 hour “CLICK” and off we were to The Voice.  We wonder if Simon is ashamed of the X-Factor this year because it’s just not very good.  Of course we will check in from time to time hoping for a miracle or just to not be bored.

We haven’t seen Cee-Lo take our advice about the colored noggin tattoo yet, but again, it might take awhile before he can find the correct colors.

Right now we are watching the world series (Baseball) and Boston I ahead 6 to 1.  G-O-O-O-O B-O-S-T-O-N !!!”

We have nothing else to report right now.  Be safe you car poolers !

The Voice 2013 – Audition #3

Vioce  Finally we got our first “WOW” and that was with the 15 year old Timyra Joy.  What a great voice at such a young age.  Then along came Monika Leigh, and she got an almost “wow” on a voice that needs some further development, and she has the “look” that if she continues to develope her voice we are sure will get a “WOW” later in the competition.   The the last contestant came along and his name is Preston Pohl, and he got our “WOW!  WOW!”.  This guy is a contender and might just win it all.

Once again a great show and when the one contestant said that Cee Lo’s head matches the design on his shirt we cracked up.  A perfect comment that led us to remember that we once had a tie with the same design.

We have nothing else to report right now except to say that after watching The X-Factor last Thursday and when they started talking about a change in the format this year, we were so bored up to then we clicked over to Sponge Bob Square Pants for some real entertainment.

Americas Got Talent – 2013 — Kenichi Ebina Wins the Million

koneicki Well folks America got it right and voted Kenichi Ebina the 2013 winner of Americas Got Talent.

A few weeks ago we did a post about Ebina and he proved to be a visionary with some pretty great and creative performances.  Every time we watched he just plain blew us away and absolutely deserved to win the million.  If we get to Vegas when he becomes the headliner of a show we will for sure go an see him.

Here are two links for you all out there in cyberland to watch.

Performance #1

Performance #2

We have nothing else to add at this time except to ask “What does the fox say?”

Also tonight is the final show of “The Million Second Quiz” on NBC and the winner will take home 2 million bucks!  If you don’t know what “The Million Second Quiz” is,  just imagine your watching “I want To Be A Millionaire” on Speed.
