Mind Body Balance Class Final – Overview

Course description “An 8 week course to reboot for health” and “In this course, you will learn what it takes to achieve your best health, alongside other like-minded people on the same journey.”

This class came to us when we were working on fine tuning our “Third Eye” (Intuition) and looking for something that would help us attain a solution to a spiritual block we have been meditating on for weeks.  When we received the brochure from Erin it sure felt good and we jumped on the chance to take this course and we called the same day later in the day.  Our excitement grew when we were signed up for the class and given a starting date.  Even though we were excited about this class we have learned that when something new comes along we choose to go into it without any expectation, this way nothing is expected and if something surprises us then we can enjoy the revelation.  (A good tip from us to you)  As it turns out we were constantly surprised by how much we learned and enjoyed every moment.  After meeting all our “class mates” we enjoyed the energy they emitted to the entire room.  Being a Reiki Level II healer from the first day we wanted to heal everyone from the onset, so everyday we did a “energy send” which usually requires an acceptance from the “patient”, but we made a point of starting the “send” just before class to the entire room and continued to the daily end of class.  Our thought process was “The energy will go to all and be used where needed without any judgment on our part”.  The following description is a weekly overview, which we are working on the details for later posts.  There was just so much information that the weekly post will be lengthy enough and hopefully interesting because we will present it in “our words” and one of those words will not be “Try”.  (Ok Teach?).  Our intuition turned out to be spot on and the “energy blockage” was solved and we are now moving along at “break neck” speed.

Overview:

Week 1:  We started with an overview of what the next 8 weeks subjects by week will be.  Then we talked about stress and how life events create stress and affects the onset and course of many illnesses.  Stress on the immune system might dysfunction, hormones levels, nervous system and the effects of stress on our DNA.  Then we discussed Mind Body techniques to relieve stress mainly meditation.  The “present” moment in particular and the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle was suggested reading.  (We agree)  (We of course would suggest that you the reader could also read through many of our posts and get to the same results.)  We discussed the benefits or meditation and then did a group meditation.

Week 2:  “The art of eating” We admit before this we knew nothing in detail about food.  Back in the day we were working there we many days of “Pizza, coffee, and junk food in general”, but now we have learned about organic foods however, nothing in particular.  We discussed nutrition, the digestive process, Protein, “Animal vs. Plant Protein”, Fat, Saturated Fat, Monounsaturated Fat (Omega 9), Polyunsaturated (Omega-3), Cholesterol, Omega 6, Trans fats, Carbohydrates, Fiber, Micronutrients, and Phytonutrients.  (When we do the detailed week post, please bring a dictionary with you).

Week 3:  More about foods like Poultry, Fish, Caffeine, Sugar, artificial sweeteners (Very bad), Glycemic Index, Junk Food, Water, Oils, Cookware, Ayurvedic Dietary, and how to read the labels on food products and the trickery involved by the companies providing foods.

Week 4: This week the subject was Toxins that are basically everywhere and how toxins get in our body.  An awesome site for checking toxins in specific products is “EWG ORG Site”.  Toxins and the Effects of Endocrine Disruption, Mercury, Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, BPA (Bisphenol A), Dioxin, Atrazine, PCB, Phthalates, Plastics, Organophosphate Pesticides, Detoxification our Liver, Cell Phones, various forms of “detoxing”.

Week 5:  The subject was Vitamins, Herbs, and Natural Supplements.  Whole Foods vs. Nutrition Supplements, Vitamins, A, C, E, D, K, B, (WE knew two A & C and none with numbers added), Vitamin Deficiency, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B% (Pantothenic Acid), B6 (Pridoxine P5P), B7 (Biotin), B9 (Folate), B12 (Cyanocobalamine), details of B, C, D 1&3, E, and then moved on to Herbs.

Week 6:  Herbs (We though “herbs was a group of Herbert s) Aloe Vera, Black Cohosh, Ashwagandha, Boswellia (Frankincense), Calendula, Chamomile, Chasteberry, Chondrointin, Dandelion, Echinacea, Garlic, and many others.

Week 7 & 8:  Subject description “Integrative Medicine and Complementary Therapies”, East vs. West, Terminologies, Acupuncture, Meridians, Qi, Musculoskeletal Points (Ear), Reiki, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Vatta, Pitta, Kapha, and Aromatherapy with Essential Oils.  (CBD Oil was discussed)

At the end of the day everyone applauded our beyond awesome teacher Susan Payrovi M.D. and if any of you out there wish to take this class there is another class starting soon.  Please Call Stanford Center for Integrative Medicine at (650) 498-5566 if you choose.

For all our friends who know us you know that this entire post was copied from documents e received in class, because there is no way we could even come close to spelling some of these words and even now most of the correct spelling words are coming up with red lines under them.  There is so much to learn and the overall solution to healthy eating seems to be “Vegan”.  We admit that we are following up with this thought in our mind however our focus is simply eating healthy; the “vegan” might come along later.  When we do the weekly posts we will for sure go find a medical dictionary for spell checking because this page looks like some kind of foreign flag.  (CR + numbers – no email?)

Thanks to all my new friends and subscribers who take time of their day to read our posts.  God bless all of you many time over.

We have nothing to except a reminder that we once read in a book by Marianne Williamson that a miracle is “A change of thought” and we have to say this class was one miracle after another.

Computer Science – The Dark Ages (60’s)

One of the questions we always ask when we meet a student at Stanford University is “What is your major?”  We did it when we were driving for Uber and we still ask to this day when we meet a student.  Why you ask?  The answer is because our career was as a software developer, but our first job was as a computer operator back in the mid-sixties.  When we get and answer from the student that says “Computer Science is my major.”  We then say “get this my friend.  The first computer we ever worked on had vacuum tubes!”.  This answer blows them away every time and the best response was on an Uber ride when the young man said “No way!  I have heard of those computers, but I have never met anyone who worked on one.  You need to come to my class and give a speech!”  (We never got the invite).  So here are the details.

Our fist job was in 1964 with an engineering company in Chicago at 20 North Wacker Drive.  (The Civic Opera House building).  We were hired to work the midnight shift as an operator and they said they had ordered a new IBM 1130 Computer but it is not ready yet so you can get used to how we work and get an idea of the direction we wish to go.  The computer we would be working on was a Control Data G-15 (See picture in upper left of this post). The G-15 was about the size of a short refrigerator and the left and right side had doors that opened to multiple banks of vacuum tubes.  On top of the box was exhaust a fan at each of the four corners and above the box was an exhaust fan blowing the very hot air out the window.  We found that on the midnight shift in the winter if we turned off the exhaust fan the computer would hear the entire room.  The G-15 had 4K of drum memory and the main input was paper tape.  The program language as machine language and the printed output came out on an updated IBM typewriter.  We used the typewriter to start each job processing.  It was an awesome job because we were young and learning really cool stuff.  They said that if we ran out of work to do we could leave and go home.  Instead we read through the comport manuals just to learn more.  Back in those days computer were mainly IBM and few and far between.  This particular engineering company was forward thinking and that is what we liked about them.  To create the paper tape we learned how to type on a “Flex-writer” which is what punched the tape we would eventually be input.  We used large movie reels to wind the paper tape on and the feed from the reels to the G-15.  On the face of the G-15 were two places to put metal rollers and we put the tape between the two rollers, then crossed rubber bands to guide the tape through as the roller spun and the G-15 read the punched tape.  We called rubber bands “Computer Adaption Devices”.  As the tape was read through from the reels we had a large cardboard box on the other end so the tape would fall into it as we processed each job.  When the tape was done being read we simply wound that tape back on the reel and labeled it.

Now we must say that the processing to the typewriter was not the fastest by today’s standards but in those days it was lightning.  Every once in awhile the tape would break and we became Master Tape Splicer’s” and have the tape back running in no time.  Then sometimes the dreaded computer break-down would occur.  An error code would print on the type-writer and we would call for service.  Usually it was one of the vacuum tubes “dying” so the guy at the other end of the phone would say “Open the left door and on the door count down four rows then over to the 15th vacuum tube and replace it with the good one.  Then we would test and “bingo” we were off and running again.  Simple huh? (We have a smile thinking about those days).

Flex-writer

Then when they received the 1130 IBM (State of the art back then) we went to 96 column card input and out was to a bar printer along with a flat bed plotter and a drum plotter. The program language was Fortran Four and this is where we taught ourselves how to program when we ran out of jobs to process. We could go on about this computer but the whole point of this post is the G-15 where our fantastic career started.  We worked for the engineering company for ten years and the started out consultant with a software company and then eventually becoming a contract programmer.

We thank the Universe for our great career where we were with leaders in the various industries we did software for.  We had a woman’s retail store as a client and we were the first ones to receive data to and from a NCR Register. We also created a routine to set up Vendor/Style/Color/Size for specific SKU numbers. (Another first).  Then we started printing bar codes on dot matrix printers and eventually moving to bar code printers (Another first).  They had to use tungsten heads on the dot matrix printer because the print heads would wear out.  There was much more as we progressed along.  We met some great people and moved all around the country.

Note:  Back in the 60’s IBM had their main head quarters in Chicago and every man had to wear a black suite, white shirt, black shoes, and black tie.  We called them “penguins”. (Now days we would call that “Men in black”)  IBM used to give other companies money to keep them afloat so that IBM would not be considered a monopoly, but in the end they were broken up because they were considered a monopoly.  The good “old” days!

Well folks thanks for stopping by and checking out our post and if you have any questions or any invites for speeches please send us an email.  We appreciate all comments and besides the email will be a zillion times faster than the G-15 output.

We have nothing else to add at this time except the welcome all the new subscribers and send our blessing out to all and all them Kat’s.

My Uber Journal – As a Rider (Passenger)

For about 3 years we have been using Uber to get around the San Francisco Bay area because we do not own a car.  When we ceased diving for Uber we thought, “Since we don’t have a car why not ride with Uber because we really don’t drive or need to go any long distances and if we do, we can go by jet”.  So now we don’t have a car payment, pay auto insurance, pay for gas, worry about the stress of driving and where ever we go we have a great chauffeur and we meet some awesome people.  If you are a senior citizen living on retirement and don’t really need a car, we would suggest Uber for you.  Also we make a point of riding “pool” because it’s cheaper and sometimes we get to meet more folks.

Because we kept a journal when we drove we are now going to start as a rider mainly because the last few weeks we have had some awesome rides.  Right off we wish to say that as most of you know, we believe everything happens for a reason and the same applies with our Uber rides as it does for all of the daily experiences.  We look forward to riding with Uber because we know a great conversation will take place and we will learn a bit more about the people we meet.

Just last Tuesday we did an Uber and our drivers was Amit and like every other ride, when we entered the vehicle it was like we were meeting an old friend that we needed to catch up with.  Right off we started taking about Uber and then moved on to meditation which we were happy to find out that Amit does meditate and has been for a long time.  Then right after we crossed the bay we started taking about inter-dimensional travel, which we have experience with now that we have been invited to go to the city of Telos.  Right in the middle of our conversation Amit received a notification to pick up another rider. (We only ride pool which means other riders might be picked up).  We asked Amit what the riders name was.  He said “Francisco”.  We said “This should be interesting because Francisco is my middle name in Spanish.”  Amit said “No way!”  We said “way” He said “Cool1” We picked up Francisco and we said Hello!  We continued with inter- dimensional conversation with Amit.  A few minutes later Francisco laughed and said “You guys are not going to believe this but when I was waiting for you I was watching a show about inter-dimensional travel on History Channel.”  We said “great, now we have a three way conversation.”  The a few minutes later we asked “Do you want to learn how to travel?”  They both said “Yes”.  So we taught them how to travel using the Astral Travel Method.  We said “It’s not like your going to catch on right away, you will have to practice. We suggest when starting only go down your street or anywhere else close.  We also stressed that before you do any traveling be sure to protect yourself with a “ring of fire” and take a few Arch Angels along.  Then we said “Okay guys we are going to make you a deal.  Now that we taught you we want to see your progress so how about this.  Every day at 11:00 PM we will meet you on the roof of the Stanford Tower.  We can sit and chat about where we wish to go from there.”  They both said “Okay!”  We continued talking and dropped off Francisco.  We said “Francisco see at 11:00 PM.  Namaste”. Then it was my turn and we said to Amit “Wow!  Great die huh?  We wish you a great day and may you prosper. Namaste.”  Amit said “Best ride ever.”  We thought “Chalk up another great Uber ride. It sure is great to be flowing though this life and having these awesome experiences. Love it!”

Now yesterday we had another cool ride.  Ali picked us up and of course it was another “Wow, we haven’t see you in ages” conversation.  We talked mainly about various religions.  Ali is Muslim and we said that we said our friend Abdul we met on Uber and he has been teaching us about the details of the religion.  We listened on You Tube to the oral version of the Koran. We did agree that Muslim is very close to Catholicism, but just close.  Then Ali received a notification to pick up Ananya (Fake name) at the Stanford Clinic in Redwood City and off we went.  We said to Ali that “e were just her last week and our final today is at a Stanford office in Menlo. LOL guess Stanford is a biggie for us lolol”.  When Ananya entered the car her smile brightened all around.  She has one of the happiest smiles we have seen for awhile.  We started talking and she said she was a student at Stanford going for her Master Degree in Computer Science.”  We asked ‘What are you going to do when you complete your degree?” She said, “Go back to India.” Then we said “What?  Now way!  Please stay in USA!. What the heck are those other computer sciences students thinking?  They have an awesome person like Ananya attending their school and they are going to let her go?”  Amid said “Please stay young lady! We will miss you.”  She said “Awe thank you guys.”  We said “Please think about it.” She said “Okay I will.” Probably out of being polite so hey you guys and gals studying computer science at Stanford, find her and convince he to stay in the US.  Next thing we knew we were being dropped of and said “Namaste to you guys.  Hope to see you again Ananya when you have your masters.”  Of we went to see one of our favorite Doctors for our check up.  Once again we were beaming from ear to ear after another great Uber ride.

We always say in our posts that communication with others is why we are here and we find that these Uber rides we really feel the connection and the exchange of ideas really pumps up our energy.  We are always thankful to God for meeting these wonderful people.

We have nothing else to report right now except that here is a lin k to the You Tube Mediation video we are listening to <Listening to right now>

An Important Subject Was Started, But We Went A Different Direction…..

Our Posting Count needs to be higher so instead of a post of substance, like toxins in our life and where they come from, we don’t feel like doing that post but instead we are going to follow up on the posts so far.  We have been struggling for about a month, yes we struggle also, and a few days ago we has a what we consider a big breakthrough and we are feeling good, yep, really good and back in the moment and in bliss.  (We are listening to “One” by U2 right now).

Back about six months ago we started clearing our past events and we did a post about during meditation go back in time (The illusion of the past) and start forgiving everyone who did you wrong no matter what it was and asking for forgiveness from every one whom you have done wrong.  In both instances you will start at a shallow level like forgiving Mom/Dad for all those “you can’t’s”, and “You are not good enough”.  That’s the easy stuff, go down deep and get to the relationships with boy friends, x-husbands, current husbands, children, family members, customer service people you yelled out, the kid sitting behind you in 1st grade that pulled your hair, that nun in 2nd grade who made you put your head down and kneel on a tile floor for two hours, the doctor who slapped your butt at birth, and just about anything else you can think of.  It’s everything about a relationship, not just one thing.  The disagreements, the “fights”, the projections, the lies, the fibs, the holding back, everything you can think of.  And, this is important; it’s not only about this life but all of the lives prior.  Yes all your lives prior to this one and all the lives you are currently living in other dimensions.  So we ask you, “Are you done?”

We have been clearing the deep stuff and at first we were moving right along but then slowed to a crawl.  Stuff started popping up out of the “blue”.  The look from another person, or a view as we rode down the road brought back an event from the past and we handled each as they happen.  (We are listening to Lady Gaga “Poker Face” right now and it’s loud).  Then when that came to a halt in about two more months we still felt there was something major we did not clear and we meditated many times choosing to bring it to the surface without a current success.  We know it would come and we have been at these plateaus before.  You are moving right along and then a pause comes in.  We call it a plateau and it one of those “it too shall pass.” times.  Just relax and let the Universe do their thing.

Then around May 18th we reported meeting a “Kat” and her energy caught our attention and but it was the name that triggered our memory.  Back in 1999 we met a Kat in Cave Creel AZ for the first time.  It was an immediate attraction by both, but we did not say much until later.  We were already in a relationship and she was just leaving one.  We talked about the feelings and decided to stay friends, which we did.  In this moment we asked for forgiveness from her because we were sorry it never turned into a relationship later on.  We did remain friends for about five years and then we agreed that we are on different paths so we each went our own way.  Even though we were stuck back on May 18th we made sure to keep meditating and keep our mind clear.  That’s why the name triggered the memory.  A small thing list that did it and once we cleared that memory a waterfall of other memories came into our attention and we clear them all.  We have moved on and are feeling pretty damn good.  Our energy has bumped up a few vibrations and we know this because people have commented on our energy being almost overwhelming.  Now this gets our attention because maybe we need to dial it back, or put the attention out to the Universe to meet more like minded people so we can grow more. The ladder is our preference, mainly because we have a place we wish to get to in the next few tears.  It’s an intention, not a goal because future goal setting is a waste of time.  As you all know “The future is an illusion.” (One of our mottos).

So folks everyday we experience something great and it keep reinforcing that every moment matters and everything happens for a reason.  We are planning to purchase a Go-Pro and start recording our daily travels so we can narrate our thoughts and actions.  This summer we are going to do something special, we can feel it, but the Universe has not dropped a hint about what it will be.  We shall stay in the moment, enjoy every moment, and cit chat with every Uber driver we connect with and whom ever will listen.

Thanks to all who have stopped by to read our posts and we send you many blessings.  We do pray that you are doing the clearing and we know that the ones that are we will meet later down our path.  The clearing will lead you to a life beyond your wildest dreams.

We have nothing to add at this time except we will constantly turn up the classic rock and rock on!  Hey, have any of you out there in the Universe bought a bracelet from “Pick up two pounds of plastic (4ocean)” ?

Today is a day when we honor all the service men and women who gave their lives and served in the military for this great country.

My father served in World War II in the U.S. Army as a medic and was captured in the Battle of the Bulge.  He was captured because he stayed behind to take care of the wounded during the battle.  After the war he was an active member of the P.O.W. movement to recognize and honor all P.O.W.’s.  He also was an active member in the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C.

My son served in Iraq in the U.S. Navy aboard the carrier U.S.S. Washington and is now back in the U.S. and is no longer in the active Navy.

So to all those families who have had their loved ones serve in the military we say “God Bless You!” and know that they will be honored forever.

My father is no longer with us, but after the war he went on to live the “American Dream” and continued serving the public in the county court system back in N.W. Indiana.

My son now is pursing the “American Dream” near Chicago .

Being able to live “The American Dream” comes from all those service men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us and keep the “dream” alive.

We have nothing to add at this time except God Bless America and all the great men and women protecting us.

Indianapolis 500 – May 26, 2019 — Calling all Hoosier’s

Filed under: General Nothing — alaboutnothing @ 12:09 am
Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

The Indianapolis 500 is today and every Hoosier in the world should be watching this great race.

Now I am a NASCAR fan, but because I was born in Indiana I am required to watch at least 20 laps of every Indianapolis 500 race.  Yes Folks, if you were born in Indiana before 1979, look at the bottom left corner of your birth certificate.  In very small print it says that you agree to this contract and your parent’s signature assures the execution of this statement.

“So what happens if you don’t watch?” you ask?  Well they will take away your status of being a “Hoosier”.  Now I am very proud of being a “Hoosier” and I wish to keep that label for my entire life on this planet.  So every year I watch and smile when I hear the State Song, “On the Banks of the Wabash Far Away” played at the beginning of the 500.  See we get to call the race the “500” or “Indy 500” because I am a Hoosier.  If you are not a Hoosier you have to say, “The Indianapolis 500”.   The smiles grows when they follow the state song with “Back Home Again in Indiana”, which has also become an Indy 500 tradition.

We have nothing to add at this time except to say we are relieved we get to keep the “Hoosier” Title for another year because today we will be watching.  Get the milk bottle out and we shall see you at the end of the race at the bricks.

Important Note:  If it wasn’t for the greatest military in the universe out there in cyberland protecting the USA we probably would not have the honor participating in Memorial Day activities.

Great job you guys and THANK YOU!

Shangri-La Found? No, China faked it !

Yesterday we found a video named “Shangri-La Found” so we watched it because we know that several years ago China invaded defenseless Tibet and illegally took over a peaceful country that did not have an army.  China slaughtered a few thousand Buddhist Monks and anyone who opposed them.  These people were all defenseless, but the Chinese Army did not care they mowed them down like lamb going to the slaughter house.  Now China has the balls  (small) to call Tibet China, but we all know the truth and until Tibet is free again and the Dali Lama can return, it will always be TIBET!  Of  course the current Tibetans can’t say anything or China will either kill them or torture them.

As we all (Most of us) know that Shangri-La is a place that has a long myth behind it and has never been found in the Himalaya’s but China saw the tourist sight possibilities if they could come up with where it is.  China created some fake information/propaganda to justify changing the name of Zhongdian Xian (In Tibet) to Shangri-La in 2001.  China built some fake objects like a 80 foot Prayer Roller that they painted to look like it was made of gold and put out more propaganda that it takes ten people to spin the roller and when they do, their prayers are 100 time more powerful.  Of course all the people within 5,000 miles know that this is not true and laugh at the China Terrorists.  China is getting almost as laughable as Donnie Trump.  Now China is promoting the tourist trade to come to Shangri-La, China which is really Tibet.

There have been reports of a “New Buddha” been reincarnated and living in the United States.  The New Buddha says “Until China returns Tibet back to the Tibetan people the energy of this fake city will infest any visitors who visit.”  This means that any tourist going to the fake Shangri-La will have their body infested with the worst negative energy imaginable and it will attach the body parts causing all kind of issues.  Then there is the Karma of the Chinese slaughtering those innocent people, it’s about the worst possible Karma, it’s right up there with Hitler killing all those Jews.  Do you wish to get that kind of Karma?  It will probably put you and you family through a living hell!  You want to lose all your worldly goods?  Then go visit and remember you were warned.  Maybe if you spin that fake prayer roller a few hundred thousand times and it falls off the spindle, rolls to Beijing, and hold accountable all the Chinese Jokers that were responsible for the invasion of Tibet.

The only way to reverse all the negative energy and Karma is for China (Laughing stock of world) to give Tibet back to the Tibetan people and let it be peaceful and free again.

Thanks to all our followers and we warn you and everyone else not to go to that fake Shangri-LA.  If you do please stop by and tell us how many of your fingers and toes have fallen off since you got back.  Has your house burned to the ground yet?  Are all of your insurances paid in full?  Is you wife PG again even though you have not been with her for a year?  Did you get a rash around your privates when the plan landed in the US?  Have you gotten rid of those Chinese wives that you married when you though you were buying a yak?  Do you like getting yelled at in stereo and in a foreign language?  Were your passports confiscated when you came back into the country?

So folks, we are taking Shangri-La off our “want to visit” and will substitute it with London England to see King Aurthur.  Have a great holiday this weekend and please be safe out there on the highways and byways of the awesome world.

God bless everyone and remember to eat healthy, and live long so we can meet somewhere down the road. Namaste

American Idol 2019 Winner

Congratulations to Laine Hardy for winning American Idol 2019.   This was a year full of really great talent and his win is a biggie.

We did think it was odd that when Laine went home to visit his family he and his cousin jumped in a boat heading for the swamp.  Maybe Laine was doing an audition for the show “Swamp People”?  He could be the “Singing Alligator Hunter”.

The show was filled with the top 10 other contestants of course, they all need the promotion.  And then surprises like Cool and the Gang whom we thought were so old now that they would be retired.  Nope, here they were still playing and singing those oldies.  There were several other obscure so called stars, but the head liner was Carrie Underwood who became a mega-star in the world of country music.

Katy Perry wore her penguin outfit and the black and white squares pattern highlighted the 20-30 pounds she is carrying from the beginning of the year.  Katy also spent the entire show holding up the top of her low cut dress so they her “yay-yay’s” would not pop out and give the show higher ratings.

The judges Luke, Lionel, and Katy did a fine job in the selection this year.  We are looking forward to another year.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by to read our posts.  You all know that at the bottom is a “like” button that could be used if you like a post or you can sub-scribe and get an email every time we post.

Have a G-R-E-A-T week and see you soon.  God bless!

We have nothing to add at this time except to warn senior citizens on Medicare that we received three FAKE phone calls today stating that they were from the Social Security admin. and that there was an account issue so hit 1 to find out what the issue is.  We immediately hung up and blocked the number.  Please be careful fellow citizens, you are important part of our country and world.

Answers to Slang Phrases, Some Questions We have and Editorial

Answer: Where did the phrase “Whole Nine Yards” come from?

We thought this came from the sport of football or some other sport where yards were part of the measurement.  Then one day we were watching Netflix and there was a show where some dudes were restoring a P-51 Mustang back to the original configuration.  (See picture above for P-51).  When P-51 pilots returned from a mission they usually went into a debriefing and they would be asked if they used “the whole nine yards” if they encountered a “dog-fight” with a German plane.  The ammunition for a P-51 Mustang is stored in the wing layered in a container that is 9 Yards long. If the pilot used all his ammunition in the “dog-fight” then he used the whole nine yards or in other words, he used all his ammunition.

Answer: Where did the phrase”Short End of the Stick” come from?

Found this answer on “Antiques Road-show” in a British version where a lady brought two sticks that she had no clue what they were but they were old.  The expert said this was the first time he had ever see these.  In the 1300’s when a loan was made between two gentlemen they notched a stick approximately four inches wide and depending on how deep the notches were determined the amount of the loan.  Then they split the stick and the person that owed the other guy the amount indicated had his stick shortened.  So the person with “the short stick” owed the other guy and this could be proved by placing the sticks next to each other.

Question:  Why do golfers look at the ball when they miss a putt?

The ball was aimed by the golfer and the golfer must have aimed wrong so looking at the ball indicates that the ball made the mistake when in fact the golfer was the cause.  Could it be that the golfer was in denial?  Are they looking for a gaping hole in the side of the ball that might have caused the miss-direction?  Are they looking to see if the ball is square and that’s why it went array?

Question:  Why do golf TV commentators always follow a compliment with a comment about a bad shot that the golfer might have been made sometime in their career.

The scenario is the commentator says “Wow! That was a great shot!” and then follow that comment with “I remember back in 1980 at the Masters when he had the same shot he hit it in the water and then attempted to play from the water and scored a quadruple boogie!”

Editorial:

Since Tiger Woods is back playing we watch plenty of golf and we believe that the golf commentators which are usually a bunch of one time golfers that could not keep up with the “real” pros.  Best example is Nick Faldo who was fairly famous at one time, but never great.  Just listen to Nick doing his commentary and you will hear the negativity in his comments.  Lots of “never, can’t or “no way”.  One time a reporter asked Tiger what he though about when he was putting and Tiger said “Nothing”.  We got this but this went miles above Nick’s head and he said “That is impossible.” Nick must not know that Tiger plays golf when he is in “the moment” and because he has made all the measurements and seen the angles for the putt the only thing left is to hit the putt so his mind is in a state of nothing.   We guess when Nick is over the putt he is thinking “If I miss this my kids will not go to college or if I miss left, I don’t think that will be a good putt coming back and I will probably miss my house payment and my family will be homeless and my parents will be disappointed in me and probably disown me and my family.  The queen will openly dismiss me as an English golfer and say that I am from Russia and that my family sneaked in to England back in the 1500’s with false papers….”  Then Nick has the balls to tell the viewing audience how the player we are watching should play the shot coming up.  The last thing the golfer wants to know is how Nick would play the shot because the golfer does not want to end his career being a golf commentator. We also sense quite a bit of animosity coming from the commentators who played golf when Tiger was at his height and winning just about everything which placed them in the background.

Last week we met a “Kat” and this is highly unusual for us because Kat’s are rare and after meeting this Kat we noticed that the Kat had a type of energy we have not encountered ever.  It was super serene with a touch of inquisitively.  Interesting we must say.

Thanks to all our friends who stop by and hope that the awesome mom’s out there had a great Mothers Day!  God bless all of you and thinks for stopping by.

We have nothing to say at this time but if you are out on a golf course be sure to listen for someone yelling “Fore”.  This means that a strong possibility exists that a small ball hit be the golfer coming your way has hit a ball that is off-line and coming your way.  The proper response would be to cover your head, fall to the ground if you are hit, and scream in pain so that the golfer who hit you will probably give you a golf glove with his/her autograph on it.
