The “X” Factor USA – Mentor Week – Judge’s Houses

So now “Boot Camp” is over and the remaining 32 contestants have been broken up in to four groups.  The groups will now be mentored by each of the judges and they will do the mentoring in their homes.  Go figure.  Simon gets the girls, L.A. gets the boys, Paula gets the groups, and Nicole gets the over 30’s.

So now a new competition is introduced, it’s a competition between the judges.  Which contestant from which group will be the winner this season?  The two strongest judges and main competitors are Simon and L.A.  These two guys are heavy hitters in the music industry.  Paula and Nicole are in our opinion the weakest judges, but it will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.  We can only hope that the competition between the judges does not over shadow the competition itself.

At the end of this week after the mentoring is over the top 16 will be chosen to continue on.  So we guess the judges will decide by their mentoring who those contestants will be.

We like how American Idol did the mentoring as part of their format.  They brought in a mentor for each show and we remember there were two outstanding mentors, Usher and Adam Lambert.  So we have something to compare to this week on The “X” Factor.

There will of course be tons of drama among the contestants and the stronger ones will continue on.

We wonder where all the drama comes from?  Do the producers on these shows coach the contestants or is it natural?  Did you ever wonder?  It’s not only The “X” Factor, its American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Got Talent, etc.  They all seem to be the same when it comes to drama.  Maybe they think it makes for good TV.

We have nothing else to report at this time except to say “Rock on!”
