So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 – Top 14 Results

Tonight’s judges were Nigel, Mary, and guest judge Travis Wall.

Based on the performances last night, the bottom three boys and bottom three girls will be “dancing for their life” for the judges.  The judges will then pick the one boy and one girl who will be going home tonight.

The bottom three boys were Chris, Tadd, and Ricky.

The bottom three girls were Ashley, Jordan, and Ryan.

(America got it wrong on picking Ryan and Ricky in the bottom three.  Sasha and Alexander were clearly the pair that should have been in the bottom three based on last nights performance.)

Leaving tonight is Chris and Ashley.

As we say to all the departing contestants, “To Chris and Ashley we send our congratulations for making the Top 14 and even though you are leaving tonight, let nothing stand in your way as you continue your journey to complete your dream”.

Other highlights from tonight:

The Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet group did a unique routine presenting a new style to this reporter.

An English group named Florence and the Machine sang “Cosmic Love”.

We have nothing else to report except to remind everyone out there in cyberland that July 30th, 2011 is National Dance Day in America and on the SYTYCD web site has three routines you can use for dancing on that day.  Of course you can come up with your own routine and make a video of it and then send it in.  Maybe we will see you doing your “thing” on National Dance Day.  Here is the link for the web site <Click here>

We would also like to applaud Travis Wall in the great job he did as a guest judge.  Travis was one of our favorite contestants on SYTYCD a few years ago and has turned out to be one of the most creative choreographers the last few years.

We hope to see you all out there in Cyberland again next week when we do the Top 12 Performance.

Thank you very much for your support 🙂
