This was the second show for Season 6, which this year is running through the Fall Season considered prime time

Tonight’s judges were Nigel, Mary and Mia.

Contestants in order of performance:  (Not all the contestants that were awards a “trip to Vegas” performed.)

1) Brandon and Demetrie from Tulsa dance Hip-Hip
All the judges agreed they were weak dancers, but very entertaining.  They went to choreography and the final decision was a “NO”.

2) Sasha
She had previously auditioned in Season Four’s Audition.
Nigel said, “Beautiful dancing.”  Mary said, “Excellent dancing and solo routine.”  Mia said, “Strong technique and great solo.
The judge’s decision was a “YES”.

3) Katie.  There was a quick review of her dance.  “YES”.
Nigel commented that she was strong in her performance and technique.

4) Ellie. There was a quick review of her dance. “YES”.

5) Allison.
Great story on this contestant.  She is hearing impaired and dances beautifully.  She said, “She feels the music.”
Nigel said, “Beautiful movement in her dance.”  Mary said, “Great inspiration and beautiful dancing.”  Mary also related a story about someone she knew who had the same impairment, but gave up on her dancing and is no longer with us.  Mary was really moved by Allison.  Mia said, “Thank you for sharing.”  I thought she was excellent.  Allison was sent to choreography and at the end of the night the judges decision was “YES”.

6) William and Jacob.  (Same sex dancers).
Nigel said, “String dancing.”  Mary said, “I am proud of you two and their technique was strong.”  Mia said, “Good dancing and strong routine.”  I thought they danced very well.  They were both sent to choreography and at the end of the night the judges decision was “YES”.

7) Johnathan.
All three judges agreed that he was entertaining but a weak dancer.
The judge’s decision was a “NO”.

8] Jarvis.  (Energy plus)
Again all three judges agreed that he was a weak dancer, but very entertaining.  He was sent to choreography and at the end of the night Jarvis collapsed during the dancing. He recovered and left without being judged.

 9) Kelsey.
All three judges said she was “OK” and just before Kelsey came out there was some joking about aliens.  Nigel asked Kelsey if she had ever been abducted by aliens and she said, “Yes, once.”  Nigel then left the judging area and went back stage.  (I think she was joking).  Mary and Mia said her dance was ok and sent her to choreography and at the end of the night the judges decision was “NO”, but all the judges told her to keep working on her dance because she was close to being accepted.

10) Johnathon L. (B-Boy)
Nigel said, “Tremendous and exciting in his style of dancing.”  Mary said, “Great personality and very exciting.”  Mia said, “She had heard about him and how well he dances.  You are a powerhouse and then said he was “stupid”, or in other words, he “blew” her away.”
The judge’s decision was a “YES”.

Tonight’s show notes:
Once again I liked the way the show was presented tonight.  The embarrassing routines were held to just a few and the contestants sent to choreography were saved to last few minutes and then only the contestants that were going to Vegas were quickly shown.  I think this made the show 100% more interesting than last years audition shows.

I have nothing else to report tonight except don’t forget the “Dizzy Feet Foundation” for kids.  Click here for more information.

  Boston auditions is next week.
