Happy New Year 2012 from the AlAboutNothing Team

The team at AAN wishes everyone out there in cyberland a very Happy New Year 2012.

Something we do annually is a “New Year wish” list, but instead of listing of several items, we poll all the team members for one line.  We then submit all the answers and then take a vote.  The winner this year comes from a slogan used in years gone by and it is:

Just Do It!

We have nothing else to add except once again, Happy New Year and stay safe.  We also want to thank everyone for visiting this site and we send blessings out to all.

The AAN Team sends out our seasons greetings to everyone out there in cyberland.

We do believe in the saying that some may consider a cliché, but we do believe that “Give and you will receive back may times over.”

We have nothing to add except to ask you to keep the thought “Peace on earth and good will to man.”  Many blessing go out to all of you and especially to the men and women serving this country in foreign lands,  If it wasn’t for them, we might not have the freedom to celebrate like we do.

The “X” Factor Season 1 — Final Top 3 Performance

Tonight was not just a show, it was a concert by three great artists.  The opening duets of Josh and Alanis Morissette, Chris and Avril Lavigne, and Melanie and R Kelly were all great performances.  Then just before each contestant performed their solos each of their stories about their journeys proceeded the performance and all of them were amazing.  These three artists all deserve to be here tonight and only the viewing audience will pick the winner tomorrow night.

Up until last week we had the winner a toss up between Josh and Melanie and then Chris popped in to the top 3 and became a “dark horse” this season.  We must say that Chris’s story is really inspirational and when he performs he seems totally in the moment.  He may not have the best vocals of the three, but there is something special in his performances.  Vocally we have Melanie as the best vocal range and Josh not only has great vocals, we give Josh the best overall entertainer.  If we had to pick a winner it would be Josh.  The main reason being that we would pay to see Josh in concert and he has given a great performance each and every week.

We have nothing else to add tonight except we are looking forward to tomorrows results show.  VOTE for your favorite!

Tonight the viewing audience decided who went home and that was Marcus Canty.  Marcus should be proud that he made the top 4 and we say to Marcus, “Let nothing stand in your way as you continue your journey to complete your dream”.

We have nothing else to report except that next week the five million dollar will go to the winner of this season. Will it be Josh, Melanie, or Chris?

The “X” Factor USA Season 1 – Top 4 Performance

Tonight the Top 4 performed and the viewing audience will be able to vote for their favorite.  Tomorrow night will be the results show from tonight’s votes and one contestant will be going home.

Each contestant will be singing two songs tonight, the first one (Song #1) chosen by the viewing audience and the second (Song #2) song was picked by the mentors.

The judges and mentors tonight were L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.

Here are the Top 4 contestants performance:

Marcus Canty          Song #1 “?”
A so-so performance as usual with fair vocals and for us it was just okay.

Song #2 “Careless Whisper”
A better performance than the first song tonight, but not by very much.

Chris Rene             Song #1 “I Just Want to Fly”
Chris did a good job with this song by adding his own touch and making the song his own.  The vocals were not outstanding but not bad.

Song #2 “No One”
This was easily Chris’s best performance this season.  His vocals were spot on and we were surprised by a new and improved vocal performance.  To Chris we say “We believe.”  Bravo!

Melanie Amaro       Song #1 “Hero”
“Wow!” Now that was another great performance by Melanie.  Great vocals, audience connection, and she made the song her own.  Once again a fantastic performance and Melanie left us wanting more.  Bravo!

Song #2 “New Dawn, New Day”
This performance was even better than Melanie’s first song because she showed us her great vocal range taking an old classic and changing it up to make her own.  Truly amazing vocals!

Josh Krajcik           Song #1 “Come Together”
Another “wow” performance tonight by Josh with great vocals and Josh once again made the song his own.  Bravo! We wanted more.

Song #2 “Hallelujah”

One of the things we like about Josh’s performances is that he seems to immerse himself into each song and this performance was another one where we could feel the connection.  A second “wow” by Josh tonight and he sang a song we have been looking forward to all this season.  This particular song has been performed a few time on American Idol and Josh’s performance was just as good, if not better than the AI Performances.  Bravo Josh!

We have nothing else to report except that we really enjoyed the show tonight and we hope you voted for your favorite because only the viewing audience will choose who goes home tomorrow night. (We are guessing Marcus will be going home tomorrow night.)
